BLURB:
Professional basketball player Bri Early needs a physical therapist after an injury, and he’s heard that Obie is the best. Bri takes an immediate liking to the out-and-proud man with the magic touch, and even though Bri isn’t openly gay himself, he’d never let anything stand in the way of something he wants.
Obie can’t deny that the sexy athlete presses all his buttons, but he’s a professional and has no intention of getting involved with a client. While they’re working together, it’s hands off, no matter how great the temptation.
But being a pro athlete isn’t easy. Bri has enemies, and one of them is making his life hell. When his house is set ablaze, Bri can no longer pretend the threatening messages he’s receiving are jokes. He needs a safe place to stay, and Obie can’t turn his back. But the two of them in the same house is a recipe for combustion that could burn them both….
REVIEW:
Brighton “Bri” Early is a professional basket player. To keep his spot on the team Bri has never come out about the fact that he’s gay. Although he’s not sure what would happen if he did come out, he’s not willing to take any chances.
Bri badly injured his knee in an exhibition game and has to have extensive physio therapy to have any hope of continuing to play. After being literally banned from returning to all of the popular therapists Bri’s team trainer Jack suggests someone a friend of his has used with great success.
Obie Kenoble is a therapist with a great success rate. He has a lot of sports stars on his books but when he meets Bri Early, his favorite basketball player and discovers what a nice guy he is, he’s in instant lust! Obie and Bri are both attracted to each other which makes life difficult for both as Obie rule ’never get involved with clients’.
As they get to know each other Obie learns Bri has a stalker who has been escalating recently. Bri is lost as to what to do about the abusive phone calls and messages he’s been receiving as he doesn’t take them seriously but when he discusses the situation with Obie, he realises something must be done, now, before something serious happens especially when the person starts threatening his fiends!
When the threat to Bri, Obie and Bri’s friends becomes more than just a threat Obie brings in his father, the police commissioner! Despite Obie’s misgivings, as they deal with the stalker their relationship deepens, although they only spend one night together. The distance makes it easier in some ways to get to know each other better, in other ways Bri feels rejected by Obie as he doesn’t believe they need to wait until Obie is no longer needed as his therapist.
