Clark ~ I wouldn’t change anything about my life. Adopting the child my sister gave birth to is the best decision I ever made. For all of us. Choosing to work for myself so that I can be an active part of his life—a no brainer. After four years, though, my friends may be right. It’s time to at least date if my crush on the dad, the off-limits man wearing the wedding band, at my son’s preschool is any indication.
Bailey ~ Life hasn’t gone exactly as planned with my fiancé dying before we ever had a chance to get married. My days are filled with client requests and spreadsheets, but I’ll never take for granted how fortunate I am to work from home and be here for my daughter. Pursuing the dream to have a child, even if alone, is more fulfilling than I’d ever dreamed possible. Our little life seemed like enough until recently when I witnessed my high school sweetheart, Vaughn, falling in love and finally getting his happily ever after. Maybe he’s right, maybe it’s time to take off the ring and date again.
When two men take the plunge and sign up with Valentine’s Inc., is it possible they can find a love match on the first try? And if they do, can insta-love withstand the pressure of real life when two automatically means four?
REVIEW:
I would TOTALLY give this book 10 stars if i could. Not going to lie. I also cried through the whole book. I don’t want to give away too much of the book, but there’s a little special needs boy and I was a goner. Kids are great, yeah, I have one, but something about special needs kids just gets me in the gut every time. Not that I didn’t love the adults. They were cute as can be. And I’m not normally one for insta-love. Probably because I’m a cynic, but this book had everything. It was the perfect romance book.
Clark’s time has been working at the gym and his little boy, Todd. Having special needs, Todd takes up most of his time, so dating hasn’t been an option. Bailey hasn’t dated since he lost his fiance. He’s mostly happy with just him and his daughter, Sydney, but he’s learning fast how lonely he really is. Both have been watching each other from afar as they take their kids to and from preschool. They’re in the same class and talk about each other nonstop. And now Fate is intervening again. Clark’s pistol of a neighbor, who’s like a mom to him, and Bailey’s best friends sign them up for Valentine’s Inc. When they arrive, they are shocked it’s each other. A misunderstanding almost ruins it, but it quickly turns into the best date ever and they can’t stay away from each other. But trying to have a relationship with kids is never easy. So they have to learn if they can juggle it all.
Clark and Bailey are just adorable. I love them to pieces. They needed someone to love them and they found perfection for them in each other. Even when they were so hesitant to date. For both of them, their lives we’re all about their kids, and finding someone who is that way is very hard.
But what made this book for me, as I said, were the kids. And not just Todd. Todd has a hard time being around many people and preschool was HUGE for him. Things would make him panic or get upset, and Sydney stood up for him and helped him. Amazing for a 4-year old to have that perception. She even went so far as to smack someone for upsetting Todd. She is fierce. These two have a bond that is unshakeable and they are so special. My heart stayed firmly with them this whole story.
You guys just have to read this. If you never read anything else I recommend, please read this one. It’s just perfect and Todd and Sydney will be in my heart forever. 💗
