Dakota~
Working for Valentine’s Inc. isn’t exactly my favorite job in the world, but it’s not bad either. I need the extra cash, anyway, so it’s kinda perfect. The real problem is that I never expected to meet someone I actually like, and now that I’m fake dating him for a whole weekend, it’s hard to separate the job from my feelings. Especially when Poe looks at me like he really cares.
Poe~
My sister’s getting married, and all of our friends are on my case about having a date for the wedding. Unfortunately, I think I have the not-dateable gene, so I come up empty. And when I find out my ex is going to be there, I contact Valentine’s Inc. in desperation. I had no idea they were going to send someone as perfect as Dakota. Too bad he’s only pretending to like me because I think I want to date him—for real.
Dakota and Poe need to navigate through their feelings and figure out if they can find true love together or if everything they feel for one another is simply just for show.
REVIEW:
Another romantically sweet story. I just loved it. Both guys feel like they are worlds apart from the other, one because he’s poor and the other because he doesn’t feel as classy as the other or as beautiful. But this little weekend ‘date’ has brought them together in many ways. Now they just have to figure out they want to ne with each other past the weekend.
Dakota was doing all he can to save money. To do his dream job, he need certain electronic equipment. Plus he needed a car. So taking a job with Valentine’s Inc, was helping him save quicker. He just never expected to meet a man like Poe. Poe wasn’t out as bisexual. It never came up for him because he never found anyone serious. But since Valentine’s Inc sent him a man, he had no choice to come out. He was tired of being hounded by everyone to bring a date for his sister’s wedding. And honestly, Kota was perfect. Kota agreed to help anyway he could and Poe, over the weekend, had never laughed the way he did with Kota. Or smiled. He felt alive with Kota. And Kota felt cared for with Poe. But when the weekend is over, they are supposed to go there separate ways. Neither of them want to and the need to figure out what to do before the miss the opportunity.
These two were so perfect together. It was awkward at times. For Kota the most because this whole wedding trip was expensive as hell and there was no way he could afford it. But Poe eased his mind. Poe wasn’t exactly rich but he did well and he would not have Kota feeling bad about himself. I loved it. Kota also wore lipstick a lot. Not usually around Poe, but one time he hadn’t had time to take it off and red became Poe’s new favorite color lol. He loved it. He never once made Kota feel less of a person because he was different. Poe loved Kota’s differences. Kota loved Poe’s gentleness. He hated seeing him angry, usually in defense of him from some homophobes, but he felt protected. Scars to death for Poe, but still protected. It was great. They were perfect for each other.
Another great book in this series. I hope you guys are reading these and love them!
