What will happen when my secrets are exposed?
I’m lying to my mom about doing porn.
I’m lying to the Ballsy Boys about my life.
I’m lying to myself about who I am.
I pretend to be Campy, but I am Cameron. But does anyone even know the real me?
When I meet my new roommate, a sexy Texan cowboy and break-out TV star named Jackson, all my lies start to come out. He makes me want to be myself, but I’ve spun so many lies that I don’t even know who I am anymore. The more I fall for him, the more I worry that all my secrets will destroy us before we have a chance to be together.
Good thing Jackson has a stubborn streak and won’t give up so easily.
REVIEW:
I knew deep down that Campy’s story was going to be special with how secretive and aloof he was but he blew me away!
Campy has so many secrets that they are about to suffocate him. He lies to Bear and the rest of the guys at Ballsy Boys that he’s gay when he’s really straight. He lies to his mother that he’s a vet tech when he is truly a gay porn star. It’s the only way he can keep a roof over each of their heads and the meds his mom so desperately needs to keep living. But the biggest lie that he tell is to himself! When a sexy cowboy shows up to share his apartment he tells him he’s straight but luckily Jackson sees through the lies he lives and helps him open his eyes to who he truly is and what is most important in life.
Campy is one of the sweetest and most honorable young men in this series. His single mother took care of him all his life all by herself. But when a medical diagnosis changes her life forever Cameron man’s up and puts all his hopes and dreams on hold to take care of the woman that he loves so much. The only way he has found to be able to even think of keeping his head above water legally was to do porn and the best paying was gay porn at Ballsy Boys Productions. The only problem is that he’s straight and he keeps that secret deeply buried from his fellow porn stars. He’s different that some of the other guys like Brewer and Pixie, who love the sex! He can take himself out of himself and put himself in the moment because ““Coming is coming as far as my dick is concerned”. But life and his views of himself have blurred since Jackson has moved in and they have become close friends.
I loved how Jackson knew the truth about Cameron way before Cam figured it out and was patient enough for him to come to terms with his sexuality and desires. This sweet, polite young cowboy turned television star was the perfect choice for the insecure and questioning Cam. I also loved how Campy wanted to protect the naïve and sweet young man from Texas that he was realizing he might have feelings for but that he was the wrong choice for a rising star.
I thought that it might be really hard to find a Ballsy Boys to top Heart but Campy, with his generous and honorable heart, just won me over and that’s saying a lot! Now I just can’t wait for Pixie’s story and to see where Bear figures into this scenario. You all know I’m a huge Ballsy Boys fan and the entire series is a must-read but Campy’s story is going to be hard to beat.
