REVIEW:
As a whole, the stories were pretty good. I liked some better than others but overall, it was good. There is a range of stories. Paranormal, rock stars, military, and more. Some have triggering aspects so be careful. But give it a read and see what you think. Happy reading!
The Vampire’s Return by Lily Luchesi
Desi has seen death at the hands of vampires, especially his own family. And he thinks he may have found a way to kill them without hurting anyone else. But he needs to convince Oscar, a magician and potioner, to help him do this. Oscar agrees. As they get to know each other their relationship becomes one of Master/servant, lovers and more. The potion works and they go to war but Oscar is caught by vamps and Desi is lost. Thinking he’s gone, Desi is listless. Barely there. But a trip to Oscar’s lab shows Desi not all hope is lost.
Not a bad little short. I liked it. Of course I love pararnormal. It was a good opening story.
RATING:
Rule 1 by Victoria Kinnard
This was so stinking cute and funny. Nothing like being on the road with your band on a tour bus and not being able to physically be together. Especially when you’re young and in love lol.
Rule 1 is the rule ‘no sex on the bus’. It was comical as hell reading all the ways JJ and Jack were trying to have sex and constantly being interrupted. The band mates we’re having a ball at their expense. But in the end they more then made up for it.
This is so cute. I loved it.

Scratching an Itch by S. Davidson
Woo! Smoking HOT! Sex with a major sizzle!
Ryan is used to be quiet about his sexuality. He’s not hiding in the closet but he doesn’t broadcast either. Running the ranch requires a lot and most people don’t want all that entails anyway. So he’s out on the town to relieve some pressure that’s building up. After a few drinks and some dancing, he’s approached by someone that ends up rocking his world. In more ways than one.
It’s a short but effective story. Hot hot hot.
RATING:
The End by S. Davidson
This one may trigger some people. A photographer on the edge. Being in the military taking photos that would haunt someone forever has done exactly that to Taylor. He lives with PTSD daily and it doesn’t take much to trigger him. With the things he’s seen and captured, he can’t get past it. And he figures it would be better to just end things instead of hurting people he loves. And he does.
This is a harsh reality of military. What they face and see tortures them for the rest of their lives and they feel there will never be a way to fix it or end it. Except death.
RATING:
Always and Forever by Hope Daniels
Wow. This one deals with PTSD and other stuff, too, like that. So if you have triggers, be careful. It was good. Intense. Anything dealing with that usually is though.
Troy has had some help dealing with his issues so they aren’t as bad and he’s been trying to save others who have seen stuff no one ever wants to see. Now it’s time for him to save Marshall. His old friend and lover. Military and the issues separated them and now they are back together, in a sense, so Troy can help free Marsh’s demons. And it’s not easy. The bonds are reforming, demons are fleeing, and they want to be together permanently.
It’s an harsh story. Only showing a miniscule of what soldiers have to deal with. But it’s good. Having support in the right way never takes things fully away but can help.

Blood Eternal by SL Perrine
I’m not sure about this one. I love vamps ad paranormal, but this was off to me. One thing that got me was there were quite a few grammatical errors.
Nunzio wanted Jefferey as soon as he laid eyes on him. But it was against the law to turn anyone without proper paperwork. But Nunzio didn’t care. He broke laws all the time. And he did again. He really wanted Jefferey and he got him. But Jefferey hadn’t wanted to be turned and he was not happy. After being with Nunzio for a bit thought, he desired him. And things began to change.
I think I would have been unhappy like Jefferey. Being changed against your will. Especially when it’s just because you lusted after them. But it seemed to work out for Jefferey in the end. It was an alright story.

Collide by Elaine White
Och. This was so sweet. In a world where gym bodies and huge dicks reign, it was so nice to see someone not a gym body getting attention from a gym body.
Mason is an author in a convention. He’s had himself panicked about it but he has to do it. He never expects to meet anyone, because either he’s to fat, too geeky or doesn’t eat right. Something. So when he meets Oliver, he’s shocked. Even more shocked to see this gorgeous man is a geek. And wants his body. After a few hot filled nights, they end up in a disagreement over authors and covers of books and such. Come to find out Oliver is a cover artist. And Oliver finds out he royally messed up one of Mason’s covers. They avoid each other at the convention. Emails get sent back and forth, trying to make it all right. Until Mason decides it’s time to take a stand for what he wants.
I love that Mason is considered a ‘chub’. Normal every day people are not always fit and ripped and I love to see diversity in storylines. Plus it was sweet between them. They got each other, they had chemistry and a love for many things. A good story.

Hero’s Quest by Kay Ellis
Hero has been looking for a peaceful life. Orcs are basically slaves to do bad work for people. They are known for killing and wiping towns out, but Hero wants a different life. One of peace….and maybe love. But who would love his ugly mug. They went to kidnap the emperor as a bargaining chip for their freedom and got the palace slave boy instead. Something about Kez calls to Hero and he doesn’t want to let him go. Even if it may be for the best. Thing is, Kez doesn’t want to go either. He likes Hero. And maybe more. So they all search for this free country to live in peace.
This was good. And the ending was so sweet. Orcs aren’t known for being pretty but Kez thought Hero was beautiful. And Hero adored Kez for it. Just goes to show. Don’t judge that book…..

His Reckoning by Raechel Lynn
Well it just cut off at the end. Not happy about that. The whole BDSM, sir/sub thing was ok but I have an issue with one part. But it’s just me I guess.
Benjamin is doing work for the Faction. Trying to get rid of vamps and such. He’s looking for info when he stumbles on a big sexy man who is about to change his world. He’s quickly addicted and is often in search for the man again. He’s saved from death by him. All the guy asks for is to be called sir….treated with respect and to not give details about himself. But Benjamin pushes too far and is asked to leave.
That cut off makes me unhappy. Does anything happen after that? Or is that the complete end? It was an alright story. Noty cup of tea per se but alright.

Rules of the Game by TL Travis
Very nice. An architect and a lawyer have an instant connection over a meeting. To the point, Kendall has to leave early to get a hold of himself. But he can’t get Joe out of his mind. He invited Joe on a date, but being as Kendall is the client, Joe is nervous about this. But the chemistry they have is hard to ignore and they shoot for more.
Good sweet story. Chemistry and connections. They form a good bond. It’s a good short.

Seductive Secrets by Piper Kay
Well this one was a little strange. But good strange. I hate the way it ended though. It’s a damn cliffhanger. Grrrr.
Reece is always initiating sex it seems. He ok with it because he loves Jace. But lately Jace is getting weird. Weird places to have sex. Out in the open and he doesn’t like PDAs. But Reece is getting into. He’s loving this new side to Jace. Even if it is confusing. And catching what he said one night in his sleep, further confuses him. But Jace seems to be ok and they are moving to the next step.
This was so strange. But cool. I’m trying to figure Jace out myself and wondering if it is Jace. But what he said at the end….something’s up. But I will never know because it’s over. aRGh!
