REVIEW:
This was a cute little story. I love shifters so it’s great for me. I know with being in an anthology you have to kind of keep it short and sweet, but I wish there was a little more to this story.
Calix and Tad are both nearing their heats. And both are attracted to each other. But Calix knows something Tad doesn’t. They’re mates. Tad wants Calix so bad. He sees him across campus all the time but is so scared to say anything. Calix gets tired of waiting and gets the ball rolling on his own. With a scorching kiss that sets them both on fire, they jump into a whirlwind courtship. Calix knows who Tad is, a wolf shifter, but Tad has no clue about Calix. He’s nervous to tell Tad but when Tad is welcomed by Calix’s dad, everything seems to fall into place.
I really liked these two. I just wished there was a little more. They went from not really knowing each other to being mates. Calix just laid a smooch on Tad and that was all that was needed apparently. It makes for some spicy reading but needs a little body. I do love how Tad needed a family and he got one. One that just embraced him with open arms. He learned to accept things very quickly but knew to be cautious. Things were hard for Calix too. He had to go against his father’s wishes to find his mate outside of his clan. But he more than made up for it in Tad.
I haven’t had the pleasure of reading the rest of the stories in this anthology, but this one is pretty good. I bet the rest will be too.

Wow. I really enjoyed the opportunity to read the story through your eyes. It was like living the story once again.
I’m working on a piece now which will be longer and give you just what you’re seeking! I’ll let you know, and perhaps you’ll give that one a read.
sounds great!!
