Levi’s family knows he needs to find a way out of his funk and be a part of the world again. His brother, Jesse, invites Levi to join him in sunny Spain for the holidays, but a delay at the airport finds Levi at Jesse’s home while his brother is stranded in Scotland. Luckily Alejandro—Alex—is on hand with a key, a friendly smile, and a willingness to keep Levi company. He might even manage to draw Levi out of his shell for some mutual flirting.
Levi surprises himself when he accepts an invitation to spend New Year’s Eve with Alex at Alex’s café, but is he ready for more when it means jumping back into life feet first? Besides, with an ocean between them and Alex hiding a part of his life that Levi isn’t sure he can handle, they’ll need their own Three Kings’ Day miracle to stay together.
REVIEW: This 2018 advent story is a lovely 50 page novella. The mood of the story is quite a bit heavy on the moody and angst angle but it’s still quite a lovely read.
Levi’s depressing mood causes worry among his family prompting his brother to convince him join him in Europe for the holidays. Things do go according to plan when Levi’s brother is stranded in Scotland. In come Alexandro with an extra key and offers to keep Levi company for the holidays and throughout the New Year.
What follows is a sweet story and we see how Alexandro and Levi’s relationship develops. This story was quite and enjoyable little holiday read but be advised: this story does not have a HEA ending. It’s a HFN ending that hint that maybe these two men have more to their story.

Thank you for the review. Maybe it’s because I love angsty but this is one of the few stories in this Advent Calendar that I have found to be really interesting ^^
Thanks for the review. I enjoy a little angst in my stories so this sounds good to me.
I don’t mind if short stories don’t have an HEA, as long as they end on a positive note.
Leaving you wanting more is usually a good sign!
This one sounds like a fun on. Thank you for the review!
Thank you for the review! I’m truly intrigued by the story but a bit cautious with new to me author after my latest experience. Now this definitely be included in my tbr list!! 🙂
New author and an angsty-ish read, looking forward to it
Quite cute story, even with the open ending. Though I know Three Kings’ Day, I wasn’t aware that it is celebrated beyond carol singers stopping by to bless your home. Very nice to have learned something new through this story 🙂
