BLURB:

Tony Gatti had his life planned: get his veterinarian license and go to work with his dad and uncle. Soon after achieving his goals, he learned the shadows and blurriness in his vision went beyond needing glasses. Retinitis pigmentosa is a genetic mutation with no cure. With his sight almost gone, he moves into his grandmother’s St. Augustine, Florida, home with his guide dog, Raven, to start life over. Nonna Concetta thinks she knows the perfect job for him. Her vet is looking for someone to destress the cats at a local rescue.
Javier didn’t plan to hire a cute former veterinarian to fill the role of cat cuddler, but Tony couldn’t be more perfect. Worried his attraction is inappropriate and knowing the holiday season always depresses him, Javier wonders if he should ask Tony out, or if he’d just be spreading the gloom to someone who already has enough of his own. But if he takes the plunge, could it turn out to be the best holiday ever?

REVIEW:

This was the cUUUUtest story. I just loved it so much. What I would give to be a kitteh cuddler. My dream job. The chemistry between Tony and Javier was….MMM MMM.

I love Tony in this story so much. After having almost completely losing his sight, he still tries so hard to keep going. Some days it’s hard. It gets a bit depressing but he keeps fighting. And I love that. Javier tries his best, too, not to step on Tony’s toes by doing the wrong thing. Nobody is perfect but he tries his best. As Tony enjoys his job cuddling the cats he is getting to know Javier a lot better and he wants to keep him. Javier wants to keep Tony too. But being the holidays, Javier has a past that eats at him and snapping at Tony may do more harm than good.

Holidays are so tough. When we don’t get to spend them with people we love, it’s harder. But family is often what we make it and not always blood. Javier had to learn that. I love this little story. It’s about getting to know each other and being friends. Exploring the chemistry and letting it simmer. It was so sweet and cuddly with all the furbabies!

  1. That cover is so adorable and trully looking forward to read the book. Plus the review sounds wonderful! Thank you.

  2. Just finished reading it. And yeah, what an awesome story! Javi and Tony were great together. And the way the supporting characters were fleshed out was phenomenal for such a short story!

Side note: What I found interesting was that they would try to get some of the cats adopted around Christmas time. In my city the shelter doesn’t place animals with hoomans in December, because in the past the got a lot of “Christmas presents” back after the holidays 🙁

Please take a minute to leave a comment it is so appreciated !
