Steele Givens doesn’t do relationships and he knows better than to fall for a man he rescued during a CIA Operation; but then he’s never been a ‘follow the rules’ kinda man. He always swore he’d never drag someone he cared about into a world of danger. But what do you do, when danger stalks him anyway?
Kalon Roberts wanted to move on. He’s done with danger and Black Ops Operators. But when someone is determined to use him to gain his father’s cooperation, the man who comes to save him, is the one who broke his heart.
They should have never met. They should never have been in each other’s orbits. But now that they are, Steele will take out everything and everyone in his way to make sure that Kalon makes it out alive.
Tied Up In Steele is part of the Delta Force – Team Panther Series. While it can be read as a standalone… to ensure maximum enjoyment, it is best read after Jonah’s Compass.
REVIEW:
So, this is the second book in the Delta Force-Team Panther series and I have to say that once I got into the story, it was really hard to put down. Kalon and Steele really drew me into their lives and I didn’t want it to end,
Kalon is a young man whose father is a bad man and sold him to some bad guys…and he gets saved by Steele and he falls for his savior. I like that Kalon wasn’t weak…that even though he’s younger than Steele, he has his own strengths and it was nice to see him stand on his own two feet and fight for what he wants. Kalon had to be strong not only to fight for Steele, but when Delta Team Panther Force is under attack…so proud of him.
Steele..yeah…I have to say that I liked him. He’s taken with this younger guy who has been hurt and he takes the time to get to know him and allow Kalon to get to know him. Steele is a CIA agent and he’s been working this undercover assignment and as his relationship with Kalon heats up…well so does his undercover assignment. Steele has so much going on and I have to say that I really like that Steele makes some mistakes…but he’s a good guy and he tries to do the right thing,
I enjoyed catching up with the other members of Panther Team. It’s always nice to see familiar faces and learn more about them. Such a great group of guys. They may make each other crazy…but they are the family of choice and that sometimes is all that you need to help you face down some of the things that happen in this life.
I like that the author told the story in order of their meeting in real time. If months or years had passed…you knew it. You didn’t have to guess and that actually counts a lot from my point of view.
The action and mystery parts of this story were so well done and so fast paced that I couldn’t get enough!!! I was breathless on so many occasions…I wasn’t sure that I would make it. I couldn’t get enough and I hated having to put the book down to do the mundane aspects of life. I kept wondering who was behind these awful things and why. I have to say that I like that each book goes a bit further…but we don’t have all of the clues just yet and I can’t wait to see what happens.
Now, as in the first book, there is no shortage of sexy times and they just seem to get hotter…I have to say…Great Job, Annabella…great job!!!
This book was so good that I read the next book in the series right after finishing this book. In fact…I finished the next two books even before writing these reviews. I couldn’t wait.
