Thanks for letting me on your blog today! I’m so happy to say my new book is now available to own. It was a labor of love. I’m still in shock from typing the words “The End.” It just goes to show that it is never too late to follow your dreams.
From a young age, I have always wanted to be a writer. I was always the creative person in my family. Sci-fi and M/M were my favorites to write because creating those worlds and characters seemed the most fun to me. I would write pages worth of material but was always too self-conscious to publish, always fearing what people may say or think of my work. That was until I got the idea for Comply.
Declan’s character came to me first. I saw him as tiny but not to be underestimated. He was a different species with abilities from the gods, a different species stripped of his powers, taken down by a dominant force, but I didn’t know who. Then it hit me; he should be suppressed by us, the humans and who better than a hot commanding dom. So, enter Doctor Adam Davenport. Darren came later, my loud mouth redhead. My characters fell into place quickly. The complex world had to be worked on over and over to do it justice.
I got about half way though Comply and almost deleted it as I had countless works before it. I couldn’t bring myself to do away with my boys though; I loved them too much! So I kept writing and one, two, three, ten drafts later Comply was done! My first book is now out, and I’m excited beyond belief. Especially when a story is calling to you.
