Can three broken hearts become whole?
King Vale lives in a garden paradise with his people, the emerald dragons. Separated from the world in their underwater home, their way of life is serene, but it doesn’t come without sacrifices. Vale has lost much over his long life, but none of it hurt as bad as losing his lifelong best friend, Blaze. Vale went into an emotional hibernation when Blaze left, and it isn’t until he meets Landon, a plucky young guard for the diamond dragons, that he begins to feel again. Except, the moment he decides his heart wants only Landon, Blaze returns with the same claim.
Two powerful alphas, one mate.
Landon knew he wasn’t cut out for life as a guard, but when the opportunity came to transport a very dangerous enemy, he volunteered. He hopes he can complete the mission without making a fool of himself. After his first glimpse at the Emerald King Vale, he’ll be lucky if he can get through the mission without ripping his clothes off and offering himself to the King. Oddly, the King seems to feel the same way and agrees to accept their dangerous cargo into his impenetrable dungeons only if Landon agrees to stay behind.
Will a love once lost, be reclaimed anew?
When Blaze returns to the garden paradise claiming he followed the call of his mate, Landon can’t believe he has two gorgeous men clamoring for his affection. Except, he doesn’t see the two men as a choice, he sees them as a package deal. Landon needs to show the stubborn men that they are better together before the mysterious force threatening their way of life succeeds.
For hundreds of years, the four dragon tribes have lived in a tense ceasefire. Evidence of the old dragon wars still litter the bottom of the ocean and while three of the tribes are working toward peace, the onyx dragons seem to be colluding with the enemy. Navigating communication with the Shadow King is like walking through a political land mine, one that Vale worries will blow up in all of their faces.
The Emerald Dragon’s Treasured Mate is the third book in The Jeweled King’s Curse Mpreg series. It is a full-length mpreg romance that can be read as a standalone and features a steamy MMM romance with no cheating and a whole lot of heart-pounding action!
REVIEW:
This was a good book but I was very disappointed. There were a lot of grammatical errors and it threw me off quite a bit. I had to go bad and reread sections several times to get it right. And it’s not usually how her books work. So I’m not a happy camper. The overall plot and characters were good though. Definite angst going on.
As a part of strengthening ties between the dragon islands, Vale decided to allow the use of his prison to hold Avia. She would never be able to escape and it brought an adorable little guard to him. Vale was intrigued with Landon from the first glimpse. But the loss of his one love left him a little stunted.
Landon was used to being made fun of. Being a little guy and being a guard made for lots of jokes. So he stayed quiet a lot. Used to being bullied. This being his first major job made him nervous and he wanted to do right. But being in front of the Kind made him even clumsier than usual. Especially when surrounded by the beauty he was.
Blaze had to leave years ago. It was getting too much with Vale, no matter how much he loved him. They were constantly at each other’s throats and it always seemed like it was fighting or sex. They couldn’t live that way. As much as he heard the call from Vale, he couldn’t return. Until he heard a very urgent call from another source.
When the three of these guys get together, it’s chemistry. But between Vale and Blaze still harboring old hurts and still being pig headed, it was hard to get through. Plus the island was dying. And Landon was getting the blame. He was being beaten up often and his safety was in jeopardy. Trying to figure out the puzzle was like threatening, but they had to figure it out before everyone and everything died for real.
I loved these guys but man did I want to beat Vale and Blaze. Neither would stop bitching at the other long enough to see the opposites point of view, and poor Landon was caught in the middle. And Landon I felt so sorry for. He couldn’t see his worth. He was picked on so much for his size that he didn’t value himself much. He couldn’t imagine what two men would want with him. Let alone one. And because he was the newbie to the island, despite being a dragon himself, he was glared at. But worse when the trouble started. I just wanted to hug the sweetheart. He really is just a doll. He just wants to be loved and accepted. Clumsiness and all. And Blaze was trying hard. He still wished Vale would chill a bit but when it came to Landon he was trying with all his might to do right. He and Vale both couldn’t seem to keep their feet out of their mouths. Despite all the bad, I admired Landon even more because he kept trying. Even at the risk of himself and the baby, he kept trying to do the right things and save all of Emerald Island. I just love him.
If you can get past the grammar, this is a good book. Chemistry, a little mystery, a lot of trouble and a bond that’s trying to grow. Plus, dragons.
