EXCERPT
Xander slowly released his hold on Matt and licked over the wounds watching them heal, forming a scar that would mark their union. Xander leaned against Matt, his head resting against his shoulder. They stayed like that lost within each other, their breath as one, their hearts as one.
Slowly, they came back to themselves. Xander slipped from the warm confines of his mate and smiled against him at that thought. Xander never imagined he’d have a mate and now that he did, the thought of losing him sent a shiver of fear through him.
Matt turned around in his arms, wrapping his arms around Xander’s neck, kissing him deeply. Xander held him tightly. “You’ll never lose me, my love. We will be together in this life and the next. Forever.” Matt continued to pepper kisses along Xander’s jawline and down his neck.
Their bodies were flush against each other. Matt moved his foot over, and it slipped out from under him. Xander gripped him tight with a laugh. “I guess we spilled some lube on the floor. Either that or you’re not as graceful as we’re all led to believe.”
Matt feigned a scowl at him which made Xander laugh harder. “Come on let’s get cleaned up. I hear people coming up.”
Xander held Matt tightly to him and kissed him again letting Matt’s love wash over him. “I love you, my Pusi.”
