REVIEW:
Okay, I admit it, I’m so hooked on this series that I can barely take time for real life that keeps getting in my way.
Landon Greene has always been the reliable and strong brother to all the Greene siblings. He looks after his own and takes care of their every need. Since he is also his younger brother Carter and his band’s manager it is obvious that he would go on tour with them. But when Carter’s life is threatened by what looks like a psycho fan he knows he needs help from the record label. When Micah, Giovanni’s best friend shows up to head the new Security Landon is both relieved and upset. They had a night of what promised to be deep passion after Gio and Caleb’s bachelor party only to be stopped short. Now Micah has seemed to avoid him at all costs. Micah Hamilton has been busy reconnecting with his childhood best friend Giovanni and setting up his new company Hamilton Security since he retired from the Navy SEALS. When Gio’s husband’s twin brother is threatened he knows that he has to take the job and how important it is but that means that he will have to face Carter’s older brother Landon whom he still lusts for. He knows it’s a bad idea to get involved with his best friend’s brother-in-law because he isn’t good enough for the amazing man. But that flies all out the window when it becomes obvious how bad off Landon is from taking on everything in his life and how much he needs Micah’s authority in his life.
I loved how both Landon and Micah needed the other but thought that they weren’t good enough when truly they were the most honorable men they could be. And I loved that their loved ones stood behind them when their stories came out. But what I loved most was how much these men truly needed each other and fought through their self doubts to be honest and forthright about their past. They were that best possible match and I loved how they grew to realize it and how lucky they were to have found and trusted each other through all the sorrow they had lived through.
The more you read about the family dynamics of the Greene family the more you realize how special they all are to each other and the people that become their soul mates. I love how the sisters are so close and their husbands seem to be best friends. You would have to be in that family. But I love most the dynamics between the twins, Carter and Caleb, and how much they love and adore their older brother Landon. They would all do anything possible to make sure their family is happy and loved.
I appreciate Rick and Kathy more and more as this story line continues. I can’t imagine what it would have been like to raise a rambunctious family like theirs. To see their eyes shine as each of their children accomplish their goals, not only career wise, but in love is awesome. I still love that they can bring a groan to all their children when they share a bit too much information at times but it is done with love and, I believe, to be a lesson in long lasting, lifetime love of your spouse.
This author has managed to completely captivate me with her writing style and the ability to keep each partnership fresh and new. She has absolutely no problem pushing the envelope to make each pairings love lives different and exciting. I do wish she was a little more gentle with some of them though. I hate seeing “my men” having to suffer so. I also appreciate that she builds a strong supporting cast of characters to help life up their friends.
I knew that we would have a fascinating story with these two but it even caught me off guard on how exciting they were together. These two literally burn up the pages because the sex between them is so hot. Let me tell you, if you are in search of a series that is scorching you needn’t look any further because you get it all with these guys and their various kinks. I am so invested in these series that I know I will be gutted when I reach the end but now I am just ready to hear Rocko’s story. It’s bound to be a rocky and exciting one I’m sure!
