LENGTH: 192 pages
RELEASE DATE: October 14, 2018
BLURB:
Heat can be sold but love is earned.
In a world where omegas sell their heats for profit, Adrien is a university student in need of funding. With no family to fall back on, he reluctantly allows the university’s matcher to offer his virgin heat for auction online. Anxious, but aware this is the reality of life for all omegas, Adrien hopes whoever wins his heat will be kind.
Heath—a wealthy, older alpha—is rocked by the young man’s resemblance to his dead lover, Nathan. When Heath discovers Adrien is Nathan’s lost son from his first heat years before they met, he becomes obsessed with the idea of reclaiming a piece of Nathan.
Heath buys Adrien’s heat with only one motivation: to impregnate Adrien, claim the child, and move on. But their undeniable passion shocks him. Adrien doesn’t know what to make of the handsome, mysterious stranger he’s pledged his body to, but he’s soon swept away in the heat of the moment and surrenders to Heath entirely.
Once Adrien is pregnant, Heath secrets him away to his immense and secluded home. As the birth draws near, Heath grows to love Adrien for the man he is, not just for his connection to Nathan. Unaware of Heath’s past with his omega parent and coming to depend on him heart and soul, Adrien begins to fall as well.
But as their love blossoms, Nathan’s shadow looms. Can Heath keep his new love and the child they’ve made together once Adrien discovers his secrets?
Heat for Sale is a stand-alone m/m erotic romance by Leta Blake, writing as Blake Moreno. Infused with a du Maurier Rebecca-style secret, it features a well-realized omegaverse, an age-gap, dominance and submission, heats, knotting, and scorching hot scenes
REVIEW:
Adrien is an omega, and his first heat is approaching. Alone in the world, and in need of finance, he has few options. The most profitable is to put his heat up for sale to the highest bidder.
Heath is beyond wealthy and loved his Omega, Nathan. Sadly, he lost him to a heart defect earlier than he should have. Before he died, Nathan had a son to another Alpha, and according to the files, Adrien was Nathan’s son. Attempting to get back something of the man he loved, Heath bid for Adrien and won.
Heat For Sale is not the genre of book I usually pick up, but the blurb piqued my curiosity. When I first started reading, I felt somewhat uncomfortable for Adrian. It reminded me of a film I saw years earlier where a Geisha’s virginity was up for sale. I felt just as weird then – that was until I came to terms with the fact that some cultures are merely different.
The story shows two sides of the process. The auction, pictures and bidding are all rather caustic and humiliating. From a sheltered and religious background, Adrien experiences all the emotions that I would expect a person in his position to have. It was very well written, too. Adrien is a shy chap, raised by his Alpha father – he was unused to the nakedness expected in various situations,.
Given the heartbreak of losing Nathan; Heath doesn’t want to fall in love again. He, therefore, acts even more dominant than he would normally. But, during the heat, instinct rules and while Heath guides Adrien though the pain into pleasure, he battles his head over his heart. Yes, Heath has bought Adrien for the duration of his heat, which in some instances would seem rather barbaric, but I found myself liking the conflicted man who, similar to Adrien, was fighting nature in a society that was what it was.
I loved the way Heath cares for Adrien, making him a stronger person. In the meantime, while Heath feels like the Alpha he was meant to be, Heath questions what he had with Nathan and what he is looking for in an Omega.
The story is sex driven. I don’t think I’ve read about more slick coming out of a person’s ass in my entire reading history. But this universe is what it is, and I can’t deny that the dynamic between Heath and Adrien isn’t sensual. Add in the emotional ups and downs of coming to terms with situation, pregnancy, relatives and instinct – I found myself embroiled in an intriguing read.
Lance, Felix and Simon are cast members who add voices of information, entertainment, chastisement and reason. It transpires that Heath is a good man with a wild past who gives up his dreams to become head of the family empire. Adrien is an innocent in all respects. I loved all the contrasts.
In many ways, this story is humiliating to the omega. However, the way Heath takes care of Adrien and how their feelings combine converts that humiliation into a story that was extremely erotic. There is drama because rich families will act like rich families and there are consequences. So overall a well written, entertaining read.

I’ve got this but it sounds like I’ll be doing a lot of skimming. Overdone sex is not appealing to me so I hope there’s a lot of story in there. Your review sounds good.
