I’m going to warn you from the beginning…this book is very Kinky…Daddy/ABDL/Age Play kink to be exact. It might not be suited for some readers.

Michael has known what he has wanted, no needed, for a long time. He might be only twenty six but he knows what he desires…a Daddy to take control and take care of him as a little. He is a very success and wealthy businessman and needs the release of all responsibilities. When he finally takes the last step and joins “Escape” an gay men’s private club. There he meets Callum, the perfect “Daddy”! All is going well until an unexpected visitor turns their world sideways. Can they get beyond this serious misstep in their budding relationship?

This is a newer genre for me. I was surprised that I liked it as much as I did. Thankfully it wasn’t over the top. The “little” clothing, diapering, playing with kid’s toys didn’t turn me off like I thought it might. I think is was because of how tastefully it was written and peaked my interest more than I expected.

I was disappointed with how fast things dissolved when Callum’s employee came by. I get that Callum was shocked and Mikey was so disappointed but I think that 4 weeks was way to long to let this continue. I was thankful that Jeremy stood up for his friend. Callum needed to “man up” and Mikey needed to understand that this was all new for them both. They had each found their perfect partner and there is always an adjustment time in a relationship. Mikey’s running got old real fast. I was pleased to see Callum assume his role more fittingly and took charge of the situation. As for his brother and sister-in-law…what a true disgusting piece of slime they were. Good riddance!

All in all, I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed this book/genre as much as I did. I wasn’t ever worried about the writing, “AG Silver is the pseudonym for JJ Harper. This is her kinkier side, allowing her to dive into more taboo topics.” I have enjoyed her stories very much, having made it on my “Best of the Year” list several times. That is why I took a chance on this story and am pleasantly surprised by what I found.

If you are looking for a book to introduce you to this genre I think that this is the perfect choice. I get that you might be turned off by the theme of the book but I think you might just be surprised by what you get…a warm loving exploration of a loving relationship with two men that need something “extra” in their lives. I haven’t read if this is the start of a series but I can so see it heading that way. Nate and Jeremy are huge standouts to me but I also want to see Stefan and Marty’s stories too. Even Robert and Ollie’s story. I would love to see more of where these relationships are going and how this group dynamic plays out. I am truly surprised on how much I enjoyed this story and will be looking forward to more.
