The time has come to make a choice—one they will live with for eternity.
In this final installment in the Blood Trilogy, Adrien and Nicolas must face their greatest enemy in a deadly last confrontation. But to prevail, they’ll need to master the enemies within.
When Adrien awakens to a future he doesn’t recognize, he faces an impossible decision: live a perfect life with Nicolas in a shattered world, or risk everything to repair a broken past. But before he can challenge vampire hunter Verel Pelletier, he must master the demon who lives in his own mind—and learn to control his ability to travel through time. With Nicolas by his side, he prepares for a final battle against a powerful adversary who likes to play games with the past and future.
But the price of ensuring a future for their loved ones may be an eternity spent alone.
REVIEW:
I have been waiting for this book for forever! I think i aged ten years! (Just teasing lol) This book was worth every minute of waiting. I will tell you, you absolutely need to read the first two before this one. This is not a standalone. Even though the author gives us a recap, it doesn’t hurt to reread them either. Also, it has a lot of ‘timestreams’, so you need to be able to keep up with info. I won’t lie, I had to reread a few passages a couple of times. But I loved this book and this series.
Adrian has been searching for Nicholas for over a century and he’s about given up hope. He’s scared to death of what he will find, especially with the visions he keeps having. But Nicholas is his life and he will not give up. Pelletier and the demon inside him keep slipping him through timestreams and just when he thinks he’s figured one out, he is shifted again. He has to learn to get control over himself and his demon along with the help of future Nicholas to defeat Pelletier and his minions once and for all. But he doesn’t know if he can do it before it’s too late for good.
This book was haaaard to read. I have been on this trip with these two from minute one and it has been a roller coaster ride. Adrian went from hating vampires, being the vampire Hunter he is, to being in love with one of the most beautiful vampires ever. At least in his eyes. Nicholas is gorgeous. Nicholas went from thinking he was one person to discovering he was someone else. Their lives together has been hell since day one. Even before they were born. They just wanted to live their lives together and be happy. Is that so wrong? Apparently so. For most, no. But of course, there has to be some soul sucking leech of a douche who is greedy as hell and has to ruin everything in his search for power. *Sigh* poor guys. There’s always one. But it makes for one hell of a read. I love these two. Through everything they go through in this series, especially this book, they don’t give up. And they go through A LOT. But they are each other’s half. They can’t stop. Even if they weren’t, they refuse to stop and let innocent people suffer for one man’s greed.
It’s an amazing story. An amazing series and I’m sad to see it over. I think the only problem I had with the book was the ending. I was kinda confused. But I can’t tell you or I will give it away lol. I do recommend this book and this series. Great, great reads.
