Hi everyone! Can you believe it’s already September? This year has flown by. I was flipping through my library on Audible.com the other day and realized I’ve listened to well over 100 audiobooks this year. Yes, I’m obsessed. I’m a woman with a career, kids and a household to keep up with as well as an Author, blogger and reviewer. I don’t have much time to sit and read as of late, but I can sit and listen to books 8 hours a day at my day job and the audiobooks definitely make the days go by faster. My current obsession is audios that are being turned into movies or TV shows like The Darkest Minds. Fantastic audio and an equally fantastic movie. Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn had me on the edge of my seat throughout and the TV show was no different. So far I’ve enjoyed all of Flynn’s audios and quite liked the movies and TV show created from the details within the pages of the books. Gone Girl, Dark Places and Sharp Objects were all mysterious, twisted stories with three dimensional characters that were flawed and imperfect, at times, somewhat psychotic. But in the case of all 3 of these books, the murderer or bad guy/girl was a surprise to me when revealed. So, yes, I highly recommend all 3 of these books as well as their big screen counterparts. I’ve also been on a Shifter kick lately with Audios and there are some great listens out there right now. Abel’s Omega, book 2 in the Mercy Hills Pack series was absolutely amazing and kept me completely enthralled from start to finish. Patience, Forbes Mates pack book 2 was so sweet and fun to listen to and I’m anxiously awaiting book 3 to release on audio. I’m also a listener that likes to revisit my favorite stories. Recently I went back to the Atherton Pack series, a series set in Australia, and listened to all the books again. This is a very underated utterly fantastic M/M shifter series.
