Falling in love was the easy part.
Lucky and Saint are head-over-heels for each other. It doesn’t matter that they met only a few months ago. It also doesn’t matter that this is Saint’s first real relationship and Lucky’s first with a man. They’re infatuated, happy, and excited to start their life together in LA.
It isn’t as easy as they thought.
Away from home for the first time and feeling like he has to compete with Saint’s experienced and cultured friends, Lucky is a fish out of water. Saint is still coming to grips with his recent loss while doing everything he can to keep Lucky happy. The only time things feel right is when they lock themselves away from the world—when they’re alone, everything is perfect.
But reality comes crashing back in to challenge them at every turn. Lucky and Saint need to learn how to stand together, as well as apart, if they’re to have any hope of making this last. They’re learning the hard way that “I love you” is when the real work begins.
They didn’t stay much into the evening.
Saint could tell Lucky hadn’t had a good time. He was friendly to everyone and participated in conversations. He’d never once rushed Saint or asked to leave. Most people likely wouldn’t have even known Lucky wasn’t enjoying himself, but Saint did.
So he’d stayed long enough that people wouldn’t wonder, and then he’d told Lucky he was tired and asked if he was ready to go. Lucky had asked him if he was sure and said they didn’t have to, which Saint appreciated. Lucky had done it for him, but he hadn’t much wanted to be there anymore either.
They were almost home now, back to Hollywood Hills, their car ride having been mostly quiet. He thought maybe there was more going on than Lucky not having enjoyed himself much, but he didn’t know what it was. There was just a heaviness around them, a heaviness that seemed to surround them off and on since they’d been in LA. It lifted from time to time—when they went out that first weekend, and when they’d gone to Conquest; when they made love; but it always seemed to sneak its way back in, too often for Saint to feel comfortable.
Christ, relationships were hard.
“Do you want to take a shower with me?”Lucky asked when they made it back home.
“Yeah,”Saint replied. “ I do.” Warmth settled in his chest, his muscles relaxing for Lucky having asked.
They went to their room and stripped, then climbed into the shower. Lucky poured body wash on a sponge and rubbed it over Saint’s chest, his stomach, his cock and balls. “That feels good.”
“I’m glad.”Lucky knelt, scrubbed Saint’s thighs, his calves and his feet, then rinsed Saint off. Just as Saint went to tell Lucky he’d wash him too, a hot, wet mouth engulfed his cock.
“Fuck.”Saint shuddered, threading his fingers through Lucky’s wet curls.
Lucky took him as deep as he could, bobbing his mouth on Saint’s dick before letting it slip from his lips with a pop and then nuzzling his balls. He lapped at Saint’s sac, sucked his nuts into his mouth, and buried his face between Saint’s legs as if he couldn’t get close enough to him.
“I love the way you taste,” Lucky said before licking Saint’s balls again. “The way you smell, the way your girth stretches my lips, the way my head stings when you lose control and pull my hair. Those little sounds you make, half whimper, half growl, as you thrust between my lips.”
“Christ.”Saint’s right knee buckled. His free hand shot out against the wall to brace himself. “Who’s good at the dirty talk now?”
“Nah.” Lucky shook his head. “Just saying how I feel.”He licked at Saint before taking him deep. Saint thrust his hips, working his dick into Lucky’s mouth, smiling when he heard himself whimper-growling the way Lucky said he did.
