REVIEW:
The first thing I want to say about this book is that the BDSM elements are extremely well written. When Ellis and Clark are in the middle of a scene, I am right there with them.
Ellis is a man who is looking for his focus after leaving the military. He’s got a great group of friends and life in general is pretty good, but there’s something missing.
Clark knows exactly what Ellis needs and he’s determined to give it to him, even if he needs to work Ellis around to his way of thinking.
I love the dynamic between the two men and the author plays them off each other perfectly. Ellis’s submission is a beautiful thing and I enjoyed every moment between them.
The biggest problem I had with this story is that I found the blurb a little confusing. When you read it, you’ll know what I mean. Also, it felt like I was jumping into the middle of a much bigger story and as this is book three, I kinda was. It does make me want to read the other two books in the series however.
I’m not a big fan of most short stories because I usually end up feeling cheated. So many have great premises but very poor follow through. This author delivers on the promise in a wonderful way and I didn’t mind the shortness…although I’d never say no to more.
If BDSM makes you squeamish, I would still recommend this story. It leaves out some of the harsher elements that might make people who don’t understand the lifestyle a little uncomfortable.
All in all, the books is well done and I will be looking for more of this author’s stories.
