REVIEW:
It’s Christmas in July! Everyone else is doing this stuff so why not us lol. This was a sweet holiday story. Or an anytime story. It was heartbreaking too. Breakups are never easy especially when the other half is a douche canoe. But we have to grieve and pick ourselves up and move on. But that’s so much easier said than done, right?
Tomy was riding a high. He was planning on proposing to his boyfriend over Christmas and he was in his mom and sister’s favorite yarn store to get them some beautiful yarn. Doesn’t hurt that the owner, Jason, is a hunk either. But plans don’t always work out as Tomy found out. His boyfriend turned him down and left him for ‘greener pastures’. Tomy dreams are crushed. He buries himself in work to forget but his family doesn’t want him to do that. So his mom makes him go with her to a knitting class at Jason’s store. Jason sees how bad Tomy is hurting and tries to help but doesn’t know really how. Tomy has to get through some of this on his own. But Jason does all he can to help put that smile back on his face. He slowly woos him, showing him there are better men out there and that he is one of them. And to show him he wants to be the one for Tomy. It takes time, but eventually Tomy begins to see it wasn’t him that was the problem and that Jason is much better for him. Now he has to just let go and let Jason love him and not be doubtful.
Any of us that has had a broken heart knows it sucks big booty. Especially when it wasn’t your fault. It makes you question everything about yourself and if there was anything to do to fix it. That’s what Tomy was going through. He questioned everything. He doubted himself so bad and it broke my heart. I cried lol. I wanted to hug Tomy and beat the crap out of Sean. Finding faith in ourselves again is hard. But thankfully Tomy had Jason. Jason was amazing. Sure he has faults of his own, but with Tomy he was patient and kind. Uplifting and patient. He never pushed Tomy and gave him all the space he needed. Even though Tomy had to find his own faith in himself, having Jason loving him made it even better.
This is one of those stories that makes your heart gush with romance and believe in love. It’s got some sad moments but the end more than makes up for it.
