Happy Pride month! I marked the occasion by coming out as bisexual. It’s amazing how freeing that is, even at my age. You can read the tale of my coming out in my Dreamspinner blog post here.
I’m looking forward to being at the Eugene, Oregon Pride in August with some fellow LGBTQ authors. We had a great time last year and our tribe is growing from last year’s four to eight or more this year.
I promised you an update on the writing struggles I mentioned in last month’s post. Writing is happening, people, and I am so happy! I’m doing final edits on The Kinsey Scale and I’ve got a detailed outline for the next story featuring Jerry, Eric’s ex-boyfriend.
Jerry is such a fun character to write. He’s cynical and snarky and fiercely independent, all of which hides his heart of gold. He’s key to Eric finally getting the courage to get with Will in The Kinsey Scale. This secretly costs Jerry a pang or two because Eric is the only guy Jerry has ever truly loved, although he knows they aren’t right for each other.
Jerry will get his happy ending but it will happen quite differently from what he may have expected. I’m going to use the month of July and being in Camp NaNoWriMo to finish Jerry’s first draft. Once it’s done and submitted, I’m going on to the third story which will feature Tyrone, who also plays a part in The Kinsey Scale.
But what of Miles, my genderfluid character from The Shore Series? I’m going to let that story wait patiently in the drafts folder because my muse is busy with these college boys. Miles and Chad will be there when I and Miss Muse are ready for them.

This month my coming out novella Wild and Precious is $0.99 at Dreamspinner and also on Amazon and other outlets. Pick up a copy and get yourself the next two books in that series while you’re at it. They feature bisexual MCs and coming out stories, perfect for celebrating Pride.
Happy reading and I’ll talk to you next month.
