REVIEW:
Tommy Gordon is happy, in love and about to be married to the man he loves. And then his world falls apart when his husband – to – be Xavier, literally leaves him at the altar! In an effort to take his mind off his broken heart Tommy’s best friend Grayson suggests he go on his honeymoon to Bonaire. Although the last thing Tommy wants to do is go on his honeymoon alone he agrees so long as Grayson and his son Petey go with him.
Tommy is a wealthy game designer, yet he is so insecure he has developed a habit of becoming so absorbed in his work that he’s often mistaken for a recluse. Although Tommy has had feelings for Grayson for years he’s never had the nerve to say or do anything to let him know. When Tommy met Xavier, he believed he’d found his life partner, unfortunately all he found was a gold digger.
Grayson has been Tommy’s best friend for about ten years. Grayson has also been in love with Tommy for almost as long yet instead of saying something to him he has designated himself as Tommy’s protector as he does with all those he loves. Grayson has instead concentrated on being the best dad he can be to his son Petey.
Petey is a very well adjusted, loving child. Despite his young age Petey knows his father likes boys instead of girls and he’s okay with that! It’s whilst they’re in Bonaire that Petey becomes a little matchmaking demon! He loves his Uncle Tommy and his father, so when he sees his Uncle Tommy so sad yet happy when he’s with his dad he starts putting them together as much as he can.
With Grayson and Petey there to support him Tommy has a chance to work things through in his own time and his own way and comes to the realization that his feelings for Grayson are stronger than ever and the feelings he thought he had for Xavier were formed out of a desperation not to be alone for the rest of his life rather than any great love.
I recommend that you grab a copy of The Best Worst Honeymoon Ever so you too can read the romantic, angsty and sometimes heartbreaking love story between Tommy, Grayson and of course Petey!
