Love Bytes is delighted and honored to host the exclusive cover reveal for Tia Fielding her new release “Like Breathing”, releasing July 10 at Dreamspinner Press.
Tia introduces us to the cover and brought with her a wonderful giveaway!
Welcome Tia 🙂
Hello, everyone!
I’m Tia Fielding, I’m a Finnish M/M romance author, and I’ve been published mainly by Dreamspinner for… seven-ish years now.
The cover reveal today is for Like Breathing, my take on polyamory. I’ve written an M/M/M book before, my very first one called By Any Other Name, but it’s very different, even though a lot of the themes are similar.
In Like Breathing, you’ll meet Leaf, Seth, and Dev. They’ve all gone through things in life, and when life throws them yet another curveball, this time in the form of finding love in a surprising place and a new way for them all, it’s up to them to figure it out together.
There are also dogs in this story. Many dogs. They’re all modeled after dogs I’ve known and owned, or my friends’ dogs, or just stories I’ve heard and read. There’s also a ginger cat, eventually. He might be called Weasley.
I hope you enjoy the story!

A love as easy as breathing.
Life started out rocky for Devin Rice, but it’s turned out pretty well. He has adoptive parents and a brother who love him, and he works as a coder for his dad’s video game company. Romance is scarce, but a chance encounter leads to more than he ever expected.
While dropping off an assignment for his sick brother, Dev meets his mentor. Art history professor Seth Kent is brilliant and gorgeous, just what Dev has been looking for. Except that he’s in a long-term committed relationship.
Seth’s partner, Leaf, is older and sees the world differently due to his unusual upbringing. To him, the clear attraction between Seth and Dev isn’t a problem, it’s an unexpected gift. After all, Leaf is often on the road, going wherever rescue dogs need rehabilitation.
When Leaf meets Dev, all the missing pieces fall into place, and three men from different worlds and at different points in life fill each other’s empty spaces. For them, building a future together is the most natural thing in the world. But their unconventional love causes waves in their careers and family dynamics, and each man has his own doubts and fears to overcome.
Tia Fielding is a thirtysomething Scandinavian who is a lover of witty people, words, cats, sarcasm, autumn, and the tiny beautiful things in life. Tia struggles with stubborn muses and depression, but both are things she has learned to live with. Tia identifies as genderqueer, but isn’t strict about pronouns. Why? Because luckily, in her native language there aren’t gender-specific pronouns. Being a reclusive author living with her fur-babies is another fact of life for Tia, among the need to write that seems to be a part of her psyche by now. In 2013 one of Tia’s novels was recognized by the industry’s Rainbow Awards in the Best LGBT Erotic Romance (Bobby Michaels Award) category.

One backlist title (not Like Breathing) of the winner’s choosing from Dreamspinner Press, picked from those who comment with a little story or just a description of their favorite dog ever (so far!)
Amazing cover, Tia. I am a volunteer at a rescue shelter, so I have plenty of stories of favourite dogs… I love them, and every time one of them finds a forever home, I am a happy girl. I’ll tell you the story of my own dog, Runa, who arrived at the shelter so terrified she would let nobody aproach her. She was hidden under a bench, and I spent a whole year trying to convince her to trust me… And she did at last. I wish you could see her today. She is happy, confident and sassy, a far cry from the terrified dog I once met 😉
I love the cover and blurb. It sounds fantastic.
I enjoy dogs as well but have developed an allergy to them. I admire from afar.
I’m pretty allergic myself, plus I couldn’t handle having a pet die. I always wanted a Muppet dog (like Rowlf, Barkley, or Sprocket) as a kid…
Toby was a white, 90 pound, wannabe lap dog. One night when we let him out to pee, he went on walkabout and when he finally came back he was covered in something purple, like he’d attended a holi celebration. We had to wash him before we could even let him in the house!
Garrett did an amazing cover for you! Definitely an attention getter.
Favorite dog…Stella…a stray who found us! She helped us raise 3 children, took care of our cats and had the cutest habit of racing out of the garage every time we got home in the hopes she’d scare a deer in our back yard! We were lucky to have her for 13 years…a little black cocker / sheltie mix that just went to sleep one day in the back yard.
The cover looks amazing. I’m a bit scared of dogs but think they are cute.
