Nobody says no to a Prescott.
Not even one of their own.
Holden:
Living up to expectations had never been easy, but when I went after something, I got it. Success. Money. Victory. I was standing on the doorstep to having it all. There was only one thing standing in my way.
Gage:
Power and prosperity are overrated. Especially when they come at a price. When enough became enough, I walked away. Nothing had ever tempted me to look back, until one day the past showed up in my backyard.
I’m not so sure I can walk away a second time.
REVIEW:
I am so glad I was finally able to read this book. It was so good….and funny, and sexy and super refreshing. I absolutely needed this. Cate Ashwood is a favorite of mine. I’m pretty sure I haven’t read a bad story from her so it’s no wonder that I loved this one as well.
On a mission from his father, Holden finds himself in Sawyer’s Ferry, Alaska hunting down a man that doesn’t want to be found. Failing his task, Holden doesn’t want to be attracted to the man that has denied his request, but the attraction between Gage and Holden is undeniable.
Gage washed his hands of New York and everything to do with the medical research company he co-founded. He doesn’t want to go back and there is no amount of money that will make him. Holden intrigues Gage and when they are stuck living together the connection between them only intensifies.
I liked the dynamic between these two men. Both brilliant surgeons who have been taken advantage of by Holden’s father, relate on a different level and it only makes their chemistry even more intoxicating.
Like I mentioned this was a great story, with great writing, awesome characters set in a remarkable place. I’m hooked and I am looking forward to book 2….definitely recommend.
