Straight out of college, Ethan scored a coveted job on the mining planet Ore 5. So how the hell did he ended up working in a strip club?
What should have been the start of a life with lots of money, a prestigious job, and adventures in space, quickly turned sour as the promised job got downsized while Ethan was in route to Ore 5. Now there, he doesn’t even have enough money for the return ticket to Earth.
Stuck in the outer skirts of the housing for the miners, he quickly finds that his usual standards are impossible to uphold. A new coworker opens up a new world to him, and in this world, the center of gravity is a big tattooed strip club owner named Ryder.
On the outside, Ryder is a player—promiscuous and superficial. And he has no problem throwing a punch if patrons get too frisky with his dancers. But he has hidden a side of himself since he came to Ore 5.
Both Ethan and Ryder see themselves differently from what others see. One is a body-conscious, chubby accountant—the other is a sex-symbol who has become the center of attention of every gay man on the planet. Even a few straight ones who want to prove that they are man enough to win the challenge.
They have one thing in common, but will their differences keep them too far apart?

REVIEW:
This may well be my favorite book from Mr. Lyhne to date. While I love his other series, there is something about Ethan that I instantly connected with. He is just a likeable kid. He thinks he is fat and unnoticed because of things that have happened in his past and it shows. Rebelling against his domineering father, he gave up pursuing a career in law and instead became an accountant. But not just any accountant. He is ranked in the top ten of his class in the number five school. He is the cream of the crop. So…what does he do? Of course, he signs on for a prestigious job on the Ore 5 mining planet. There is only one problem…in the two years it takes to get there, the job has been eliminated and he is let go the day he arrives. With a small severance pay, he doesn’t even have enough to get back to Earth, and he won’t ask his father for help.
Ethan is given a place to stay for the time being. A small one room apartment with a big hulking neighbor who thinks Ethan should be his play thing, whether or not Ethan is actually interested. Meanwhile Ethan is looking for a job. What’s an out of work accountant to do on a mining planet?
The story continued to develop as more characters came into the picture. I really enjoyed the progression, and the look inside Ethan’s shy, body-conscious, mind. Especially once Ryder, the owner of a large strip club, shows up in the story. Chubby Ethan knows he could never attract that sort of man’s attention. But what if he is wrong?
No more spoilers. I really, really, enjoyed this one. I can’t wait for more in the Ore 5 series. I highly recommend this one.
