REVIEW:
You know what? I’m not even going to get up in arms with outrage. I’m not going to do it. I’m not! Because it’s not true, it’s NOT true. It can’t be true so I’m going to act like those last few pages didn’t happen and just go right into how amazing this author is.
I have no idea how The Bound God’s came to be but I’ve said it before. Adrienne Wilder’s imagination is out of this friggin world. I’m never as horrified as I think I should be when I’m reading about these amazing characters. She has this uncanny ability of making what are essentially monsters almost more humanlike than the humans in the stories. I love that about this series.
The Claiming delves more into the relationship between Kaleb, Leo, and Aaron. It also focuses on how the Chimera fits into the question. Things happen early on that almost shatter Kaleb but Leo is always there to take care of him. I don’t want to give too much away as to why that is needed but this book violently snatches all the HEA/warm fuzzies right away with absolutely no apologies.
I wasn’t expecting the other major side story that evolved but I wasn’t as devastated by it as I thought I’d be. Again, this book is more impactful if you’re surprised by what happens so I don’t want to say too much but know this author knows exactly what she is doing.
Luckily enough I have the next 2 books waiting for me in my email so I am starting those as soon as I am done with this review.
Again, the writing is amazing. The suspense, mystery, and intrigue always keep my interests. These are NOT standalone so get book 1 and start at the beginning.
Absolutely recommend!
