When Kyle finally gets an opportunity to introduce himself, he fails miserably and is rebuffed in a spectacular fashion. But Kyle is persistent and won’t be so easily dissuaded.
Kyle struggles to find an in with his hot neighbor, until one night, thanks to a package with a familiar return address, Kyle discovers that they have a lot in common than he thought…
Alex Holloway is starting over.
When most twenty-one-year-olds were club hopping and graduating from college, Alex Holloway was filing for divorce and dropping out. Freshly relocated to a new city, his ego is bruised and his emotions damaged, but Alex is determined to be happy. To be himself. His best friend urges him to go out and meet someone, anyone… anyone except the neighbor who comes on too strong, steals Alex’s mail and bakes him cookies.
Kyle is everything Alex has ever wanted. Strong, smart, capable, caring, and kinky as hell. But is a mutual appreciation for silk and lace worth another heartbreak?
REVIEW:
Now before anyone bites my head off, please remember everyone is different on their views of sex in books and how much, etc. Normally I don’t mind sex scenes. Done right, they’re very sexy. But for me, FOR ME, in this book the sex was too much. Out of a 200+ page book, literally almost every page had a sex scene of some sort. Whether blow jobs, hand jobs, frottage, actual sex or something and it took away from the story to me. I understand the characters are young and full of cum but still.
Kyle has instalust for his neighbor. He can’t get him out of his head. But Alex is coming out of a bad marriage and a bad situation and wants to be left alone. Plus he’s terribly shy. His friend encourages Alex to use his love of Lacy and silky panties and start a blog to help break out of his shell. Kyle having a blog himself, sees Alex’s blog and he is so turned on he can’t see straight. But he doesn’t know yet it’s Alex. After some major screw ups with introductions and asking for a date, Kyle keeps apologizing and with cookies. Pics on Alex’s blog go up later involving those cookies and Kyle knows now he has to get through to Alex. Eventually it all comes together. But Alex’s bad marriage and past come up and he doesn’t know if he’s ready for another heartbreak.
Once you got past the sex, it was a sweet story. Shy Alex is trying to move on past his disastrous marriage that took everything from him. He moved to L.A. to start over, but the thought of going on a date and people finding out his kink is too much. He’s scared. When he eventually finds out Kyle has the same kink, things are easier for Alex and it opens up a relationship for them. But with any relationship there are bumps in the road and issues to get past in order for things to work. And they have to move past these to get to where they want to be. Alex needs Kyle. He needs someone to make him feel like he’s special and not a freak because he’s different. And Kyle is that for him.
Not a bad book. I just had to skim past the sex to get to the good parts of the story. And it’s a sweet little romance. Happy reading!
