A warm welcome to author Xenia Melzer who joins us today with her characters for an character interview
welcome Xenia, Peyton, Martin and Collin 🙂
Dear readers, we’re happy to announce that we managed to get Peyton for an interview about Martin Carmichael and Collin Malloy. As you may remember from the interview with him regarding Richard Miller and Dean Connelly, Peyton is a reliable source of juicy information and wild rumors.
X.M.: Peyton, welcome back and thank you so much for making time in your busy schedule for our little chat.
P.: Of course, Xenia. It’s my pleasure. Though I do wish to point out that my schedule has become even busier ever since I designed that nursery for Richard and Dean. People are bombarding me with requests to do their offspring’s rooms because I’m such a genius, even if I do say so myself.
X.M.: I’m glad to hear that, Peyton. And you’re the very picture of modesty.
P.: *harrumphs* I do recognize sarcasm when I hear it, lady. I’m not Sheldon Cooper.
X.M.: *hastily* Of course not, Peyton. I’m just glad we can have this little talk. So, what do you think about Martin and Collin?
P.: Well, obviously, they’re made for each other, even though Collin is so far from Martin’s type, he probably wouldn’t be able to see him if he used the Hubble telescope, and Collin doesn’t have a type, which is probably for the best. I mean, I love him like a brother – a batshit crazy little brother, granted – but if he had a certain type, he’d probably never find a guy.
X.M.: You’re saying he’s not attractive then?
P.: Are you kidding me? He’s not my type, but he looks good enough and he has this whole innocent thing going for him. The problem is that he lives in a completely different world where bumblebees turn into fairies at night and wings symbolize a sub’s freedom. His words, not mine. It takes a man as secure in his masculinity as a silverback, and as stubborn as a mule, and with the patience of a saint to deal with somebody like Collin.
X.M.: And Martin is that somebody?
P.: Oh yes. Doesn’t hurt that he also looks like a tank. Keeps other Doms away.
X.M.: *questioning glance*
P.: Come on. Collin is the epitome of what many Doms look for in a sub. Scatterbrained. Twinky. Trusting. A bit slow when it comes to human interactions. Responsive and hedonistic.
X.M.: I’m not sure if you’re insulting Doms as a whole or Collin here. And I thought he would have trouble finding a partner?
P.: You didn’t invite me to be polite. Deep inside, you like the fact that I’m so direct. And I never said Collin would have trouble finding a Dom. I said he would have trouble finding a man. Everybody can play for a night or two. Sticking to your boy even when it sometimes means a shitload of additional worries is another story altogether. *smiles wistfully* Finding the right man is never easy, especially when you’re – different. Collin is a lucky SOB, is all I’m saying.
X.M.: I take this means you think the two will stay together?
P.: *huffs* Of course. As I said, they’re made for each other. Besides, if Martin hurts Collin in a bad way, I’d be morally obligated to kick his ass on Collin’s behalf. Martin has about a gazillion pounds on me, so that wouldn’t end too well for me. They absolutely need to stay together.
X.M.: I can see how that would be a problem. Perhaps the other subs could help? As far as I know, Leeland does martial arts?
P.: Yeah, he does. And the others would help as well. We all love Collin. He’s like a little puppy. It’s impossible to not like him. I guess we’d have to gang up on Martin and hide the body where nobody can find it…
X.M.: Thank you very much, Peyton, for your insights on the relationship of Martin and Collin.
P.: You’re welcome. Now where is that daiquiri you promised me?
Sometimes the perfect man can be found in the most unexpected place….
Martin Carmichael owns a security firm and is part owner of Club Whisper. He’s a Dom in search of the right guy, and when his car breaks down on a lonely stretch of road, he thinks he might have found him.
Artist Collin Malloy is talented, easygoing, but somewhat insecure. Still, he has a big heart and is quick to offer help when he sees Martin in need. To thank him, Martin invites Collin to dinner, where the attraction between them becomes harder to resist.
But what will become of their budding relationship when Martin reveals that he likes his men bound, submissive, and in pain? Is it something Collin can accept… and possibly enjoy exploring? Even if he can, Collin has a secret of his own—a secret he doesn’t even realize he’s keeping.
