A warm welcome to author L.A Witt joining us today to talk about new release “Once Burned”, part of the succesfull Anchor Point series.
Lori talks about her playlist choice and brougth a giveaway for our readers!
Welcome Lori 🙂
What am I listening to?
Every few blog tours, it’s fun to trot out my terrible taste in music and show y’all what monstrosities I’m listening to while I write. It doesn’t change much, but every now and then, I discover new artists (or get some blast from the past artist I’d forgotten about).
So, what’s on the playlist right now?
The usual suspects:
- 30 Seconds to Mars (don’t act surprised I’m seeing them in concert – again – literally this week)
- Tooji (soooo good)
- Bastille (every song is amazing)
- Ke$ha (I love her)
- Luke Bryan (FIGHT ME)
- Tyler Farr (yesssss)
- John Newman (so much love)
But who’s been added to the mix recently?
- James Blunt (I hated You’re Beautiful, but dear lord this man’s other music is addictive)
- The Chainsmokers (yeah I’m late to the party)
- Chris Young (not new per se, but I seem to have developed a newfound appreciation for him)
- Lady Gaga (again, not new, but I’m definitely on a LG kick)
- Neon Trees (I go back and forth – hated them when I saw them live, got hooked on them later, lost interest, now hooked again)
And yes, all of these artists are shuffling together, so it’s totally not unusual to get some 30 Seconds to Mars followed by Chris Young followed by Bastille followed by Lady Gaga. Variety is the spice of life!
Who are your longtime favorites and who have you discovered recently?
About Once Burned
Captain Mark Thomas’s world has been tossed on its head: A long overdue but still unexpected divorce. A promotion out of left field. Last-second orders to a ship where careers go to die. As the dust settles in his new home, he barely recognizes his life, but he sure recognizes the loneliness creeping in.
Diego Ramírez wants nothing to do with the military or its men. Not after the Navy burned him both literally and figuratively, costing him his career, his health, and ultimately his green card. Now working illegally in an Anchor Point bar, he keeps the military and its personnel at arm’s length.
But after a single moment of eye contact across the bar, Mark and Diego can’t resist each other. As a one-night stand quickly turns into more, Diego knows he’s playing with fire. Now he can stick around and let things with Mark inevitably fall apart, or he can run like hell and wonder what might have been. One way or another, Diego knows he’s about to get burned. Again.
50% of the author’s royalties from this book will be donated to charities supporting US military veterans who have been deported or are at risk of deportation.

About Anchor Point
Welcome to Anchor Point!
Nestled on the northern coast of Oregon, this small town is home to Naval Air Station Adams. On base, you’ll find freshly minted Sailors who’ve just graduated boot camp, salty officers counting down till retirement, grounded pilots who’ve landed behind desks, and everyone in between—and they’re all looking for love. Well, not all of them, but that won’t stop love from finding them.
So pull up a barstool, grab a beer, and get ready for some sea stories as these men in uniform—or not—navigate the waters of love and life in the military.
Anchor Point stories can be enjoyed in any order. Hop in wherever you’d like!
About LA Witt
L.A. Witt is an abnormal M/M romance writer who has finally been released from the purgatorial corn maze of Omaha, Nebraska, and now spends her time on the southwestern coast of Spain. In between wondering how she didn’t lose her mind in Omaha, she explores the country with her husband, several clairvoyant hamsters, and an ever-growing herd of rabid plot bunnies. She also has substantially more time on her hands these days, as she has recruited a small army of mercenaries to search South America for her nemesis, romance author Lauren Gallagher, but don’t tell Lauren. And definitely don’t tell Lori A. Witt or Ann Gallagher. Neither of those twits can keep their mouths shut…
L.A.’s backlist is available on her website, and updates (as well as random thoughts and the odd snarky comment) can be found on her blog or on Twitter (@GallagherWitt).
To celebrate the release of Once Burned, L.A. is giving away reader’s choice of two eBooks off of her backlist! (Excludes Once Burned.) Leave a comment with your contact info to enter the contest. Entries close at midnight, Eastern time, on April 14, 2018. Contest is NOT restricted to U.S. entries. Thanks for following along, and don’t forget to leave your contact info!

Congrats on the book. I love when you post your playlist, I always find someone new to listen to or at least check out. Sometimes I listen and wonder “what the hell” but at least it opens my eyes to new music.
I love Bastille! I’ve never heard of Tooji. I’ll have to check it out!

I love seeing the ‘chosen few’ on your playlist! Several I haven’t heard of so I’m going to have to go on a search and rescue mission for my own ‘new’ favorite!
I still have a love affair will Hall and Oates, Coldplay, Joe Cocker, Bon Jovi, Lady Gaga, Queen Eric Clapton, Sam Cooke, Sting, Etta James, Seal, Celine Dion, and Adele.
New favorites include Survivor, Adele, Imagine Dragons, Bruno Mars, Pink, Jason Mraz, Tracy Chapman, Rachel Platten, Richard Marx, Sam Smith, Harry Styles, One Direction, Shawn Mendez, Pharrell, John Legend, Charlie Puth and Ed Sheeran.
As a former member of the USAF I’ve always been drawn to men in uniform 🙂 This series is one I haven’t started yet but I love the cause you’re sharing your profits with, so I’m definitely buying this edition!
