Oh my goodness gracious I am so relieved! I had been waiting, and not so patiently, to get to return to my favorite little town in California…Lavender Shores. And I can tell you that my little trip was fabulous!

Adrian Rivera, one of the members of the founding families, is Micah’s partner in the organic vegetable market “The Green Violin”. He lives life as he pleases and farming is his passion. That is until he is kissed by America’s Sweetheart and retired NFL Star quarterback/underwear model Harrison Getty. That kiss was moments before Harrison ran away from his wedding to founding family member Will Epstein which was being broadcast on Nationwide Television! Harrison has always performed as he was told to. First by this dad, then the NFL and then his agent. He knew that he had to always be the shining example to America for the LGBTQ community after he was outed by a sex tape in a gay bar. But what Harrison didn’t realize was that his brother Jasper’s best friend had secretly lusted for him too. When he goes to apologize to Adrian for the kiss the two wind up in the throes of passion. The next day it is discovered that the two had secretly been filmed and now sex tape #2 is out for all to see and it is obvious to everyone that it is Harrison and Adrian. What happens when America’s favorite guy who follows all the rules put before him winds up with one of the most rebellious of the founding family’s sons?

I can’t tell you how thrilled I was when I finally discovered that the Lavender Shores series was finally continuing and that we were getting the sexy Adrian’s story. And what a story…or should I say scandal it is! The sexy Latino and the all-American boy makes for some very steamy sex!

I loved that Adrian started reading the journals of his great-uncles. I believe that those books, that Micah found and passed on to him, helped to open both his eyes and his heart to the possibility of love. Then enter the sweet and tormented Harrison. He is something to everyone but never really gets to live his life as he would like. I was worried that I would be upset that he was a cheater kissing Adrian right before his wedding to Will but the love between him and his fiancé had fizzled and long extinguished any flame they had. Living his life out on a reality show was the last thing he ever wanted and it ruined his relationship with the man he had thought he was madly in love with and going to spend the rest of his days on earth. The tenderness and love that developed between Adrain and Harrison was touching and real. But the truly best past was to see each of them “get” the other. Watching them try and learn what being honest, open and real does in a relationship and how it leads to the doorway of trust and a lifetime together.

I would have loved to have seen the old Glasshouse on the new part of the farm. From its being close to collapsing to it’s new regal beauty. It would have been a wonderful transformation…just like these two beautiful men.

I was also thrilled that we got a glimpse of some of the men we have grown to love in this wonderful town. Lavender Shores is a fictitious town. I know this in my mind but in my heart it is real. Having a perfect place where everyone is accepted for who they truly are is a dream that I can only hope will materialize someday.

As I am sure you can tell, I absolutely adored this book and couldn’t set it down. It was sweet, sexy, and captivating, just like Adrian and Harrison. I was also thrilled to read that we will be getting sweet Jasper’s story next and I am sure it will be as riveting as the rest of this amazing series. A MUST-READ!!!
