Time for a giveaway game!
Below are 10 quotes from m/m books. We’ve tried not to make them too hard, but help each other out here. You don’t need to know (or think you know) all of them. Just share the ones you recognize. Once we’ve managed to identify all of them, one commenter who has correctly matched a quote to a book will be randomly selected to win the prize!
Good luck!
1.“The guy you’ve been seeing, the one you were all so secret-squirrel about, was my dad?”
XXX nodded. “Yes.”
“Oh, fucking hell,” Ryan squeaked. “The one you said sucked dick like a Dyson?”
2.“Hell, you’re the only man I’ve ever met that I would stand in front of a judge and say I’m gay for.”
3.XXX’s job is super dull. He mostly takes care of answering the phone and doing filing, and stapling things. Sometimes the things don’t even need stapling, but XXX does it anyway. He makes shiny little railroad tracks along the tops of documents. His record is thirty-eight staples on one thing. Then he picked thirty-seven of them out again because he remembered he was supposed to be professional. Adulting is hard. The struggle is real.
4.“Okay, captain Pornie, walk me through it,” XXX challenges. “I’ll be the pizza guy, and XXX can be the plumber. You can be… hey, why don’t you be the high-powered young executive?”
5.Shit, shit, shit! Who’d have thought Yogi would like Cheesy Doodles as much as he did?
“Give them here!” Yogi growled.
“Go find your own pic-a-nic basket!” The deep feral growl he received in response was most likely a “no.”
6.“Are you really a Texan? I mean, really? XXX, if I have a headache, I’d put bacon around an aspirin before I take it.”
7.“You know, there’s a joke in there somewhere. A Highlander, a Viking, and a Samurai walk into a bar.”
8.“Screaming Morgan in a cop house is like yelling for an Oompa Loompa in a chocolate factory. You guys pop up like gophers.”
“That’s pretty much what dinner’s like at our house,” XXX acknowledged. “Like a game of whack-a-mole.”
9.“Oh. My. Gawd!”
10.“So, lemme get this right. We’re gonna make a go of it. You and me? Togevver? Even though I’m orange and you’re mental?”
That was fun Donna, thank you!

N.R. Walker is an Australian author, who loves her genre of gay romance. She loves writing and spends far too much time doing it, but wouldn’t have it any other way.
She is many things; a mother, a wife, a sister, a writer. She has pretty, pretty boys who live in her head, who don’t let her sleep at night unless she gives them life with words.
She likes it when they do dirty, dirty things…but likes it even more when they fall in love.
She used to think having people in her head talking to her was weird, until one day she happened across other writers who told her it was normal.
She’s been writing ever since…
Kaje Harper grew up in Montreal and spent her teen years writing. But as life got busy, the stories began to just live in her head. The characters grew, met, endured, loved, but rarely made it to paper. Serious authorship got sidetracked by ventures into psychology, teaching, and a biomedical career. And by the challenges of raising children.
When the kids were more independent, her husband gave her a computer she didn’t have to share. She began putting words down in print, just for fun. Hours of fun. Lots of hours of fun. The stories began piling up, and her husband suggested it was time to try to publish one. MLR Press accepted her first book, Life Lessons, which was released in May 2011. Kaje now has several novels and short stories in print. She currently lives in Minnesota with a creative teenager, a crazy little omnivorous white dog, and a remarkably patient spouse.
