Love Bytes says hello and welcome to author T. Neilson joining us here today to talk about new release “Sweet Nothings”.
Welcome T 🙂
What’s worse than starting over? Trying to hide it from your enormous, nosey, interfering family. In a teeny tiny town.
When Tristan Love comes home, he tries to do it quietly. He has big plans — to start the bakery of his dreams, rebuild his life, and shake off the abusive boyfriend he left behind, but first he has to figure out how to tell his family why he came home, and that’s not a conversation he’s looking forward to. But he’s not going to be able to keep his bakery a secret. Not with seven brothers, six of whom are in the food scene in his little home town.
Unlike Tristan, I’ve never been a baker, but I’ve worked for and with plenty of them. I spent a lot of my life working in the food industry, and I grew up in a very small town. To say the food industry and small towns are similar is the understatement of the century — the two are identical. That means everybody knows everybody, new people are regarded with suspicion until their mettle is proven, and everyone knows everyone else’s business. For better or worse.
I feel for Tristan. My sprawling family is kind of like a tripwire, and heaven help you if try to just pass through town without stopping for a day to see all the cousins, aunts, uncles, and dogs and cats. For Tristan, though, it’s even worse, because his enormous family is in the food industry, just like him.
Lucky for Tristan, the cute guy who works at the mechanic’s shop across the road is both an out-of-towner and not a foodie. Too bad for Tristan, he’s got a past. At least, that’s what the scuttlebutt around town says. But everybody knows small town gossip isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on. Who listens to rumor and innuendo, anyway?
Well, Tristan’s busybody oldest brother, for a start.

About the Book:
Will a bitter bite from the past spoil a sweet romance?
Tristan Love, the youngest of seven brothers, is back in his hometown. He’s left the New York food scene and an abusive relationship behind him, but he holds his love of French pastries close to his heart and is determined to put his skills to use in a bakery of his own.
Returning to his childhood home means his meddlesome brother Simon will butt into his business, but before the bakery even opens its doors, Tristan’s delectable creations have the town’s mouths watering, and Jake, a cute mechanic, asks Tristan out. It all seems worthwhile….
That is, until the bakery burns down, Jake’s criminal past comes to light, and Tristan’s nasty ex rears his head where he is decidedly not wanted.

T Neilson writes flirty, silly, contemporary m/m romance featuring recovering addicts, mental health problems, and abuse survivors. Honestly, honestly, the books are silly. I swear.
