REVIEW:
This was a pretty good book. Definitely an interesting way to look at immortality and such. I love to see people’s insight to how they see things.
So Avery is a professor and an author who loves mystical things. Paranormal things. Even when they creep him out a bit. But he knows like everyone else that’s it’s all just myth. Folklore. Legends. Or so he thought. He ventures with friends to a bar they’ve been invited to, when he sees the most beautiful man he’s ever seen. As they date and get to know each other, Avery is seeing things that are making him question all he’s previously thought. When he finds out what is really true, he is floored and doesn’t know if he can handle it. Tyson understands. He understands his world is hard to take. But he’s been lonely for so long and finally found something that makes him want to live. But his immortality and his world may make his new relationship over before it’s really even started.
Can you imagine meeting the man of your dreams and finally put everything you’ve ever believed is a myth is really true?? Part of me things it would be cool, because of course I’m intrigued by such things, but the other part would be like Avery and scared to death and feeling like the world is a lie. I wouldn’t know how to act or what to say or think. Avery doesn’t either. And it’s so hard because both Avery and Tyson have finally found in each other all they’ve been looking for. But for all the stuff they go through, they fight hard to stay together. Even when Tyson thinks he needs to give Avery up to save him. Oh that was so sad. What they have is so beautiful. Every emotion, every passion, every feeling they’ve ever thought or had, they express to each other. Whether in the conversations they have, the places they visit, to the love they make. But they have a lot to get through and decisions to make. And I crossed my fingers all through this book hoping they would make it.
Please pick this one up. It’s really good. Sweet. Heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. But so worth it.
