“Our family will always have room for a few more Moores.”
The Moore family is growing exponentially this year! All three brothers are enjoying their Happily-Ever-Afters. Julian and Xander only have four weeks to plan their dream wedding and are waiting impatiently to welcome two homeless teens into their family. Amidst all the merriment, Chance discovers that he has siblings, and they need his help. He’s forced to confront his past, but he won’t have to face it alone.
THE MOORE THE MERRIER is a Moore Romance novella (Book #2.5), which takes place immediately after the events in Book 2: Love You, Moore. It is a funny, heart-warming, steamy, 57k-word MM gay romance from the point of view of 6 humans and 6 pets, with a HEA ending and no cliffhangers. A 3-part Character Guide is at the end of this book (listed alphabetically, by group, and in a friends & family tree), and a link is at the beginning of each chapter.
REVIEW:
This book was insane, and in soo many ways. Mostly good ones though. If you don’t like a lot of head-hopping this might not be the book for you, because there is a lot of it in this book. It’s also one that won’t make much sense if you haven’t read the first two books in the series, so I recommend you do that first and come back to this one after that.
I had a lot of fun listening to this book. I will admit that I had a few reservations when I realised one of the narrators was a woman. I was pleasantly surprised when she really worked for this book. Jill Smith and Sean Lenhart performed this book amazingly and I do think that a book with this many characters needs more than one narrator.
Because not only do we get the perspectives of the many, human characters (6 of them to be exact), but we also get their pets, and they are as many in number. And let me tell you that was a ride and a half! Jill and Sean’s narrations of the pets are probably my favourite parts; they were so much fun to listen to, and I’m not sure if I’ll ever look at a dog or cat the same way again 😉
The Moore the Merrier is a low-angst and very light hearted book. It does deal with some tough moments, but they are never heavy or brings the mood or feel of the book down. Moore Romance is at times overly sweet and not only because one of them bakes cakes for a living, but at times books like these are just what you need.
All in all this was a quirky and insane interlude to catch up with the Moore family. There is not a serious bone near it, but fun to listen to all the same. I’m waiting to see what these authors can come up with next, because going by this it will be a good one.
