“You up for that, hm, Ash? A lesson from an old soul to youth? From me… to you?”
Ash Thomas and his gameplay with other men is vicious, cruel. Better to fuck someone over than be the one who’s on the floor, fucked up, right? But his latest cruelties are about to catch the eye of the Wraith, someone who’s been brought up to play professionally in the shadows. For Ash, beauty and rage aren’t the kind of sins to win him any favours anymore. Life and lessons of the heart never did come easy, especially when they’re about to walk in off the darkened streets, bringing bloodied footprints in their wake. (M/M)

Ash bit back a laugh, mostly because he was no Dom. He never would be, but Chase… Chase knelt in front of him now, all pious and looking distraught at the noise: the sub needing grounding in his Dom.
Ash instantly calmed, a hand stroking the back of Chase’s neck, then with a hand under his jaw, Ash tilted his look up, not allowing his gaze to fall. It told Chase not to worry, to focus on him and him alone, but mostly to block everything else out and let Ash hold the control.
And in that moment, Chase was his sub, he was Chase’s Dom, and nothing felt more natural.
Then he brushed a thumb at his cheek, and Chase came into his thigh, resting his head down. As he did, Ash slipped his belt off, then eased back and looped it around Chase’s throat. A tap to his jaw asked Chase to focus on him, and he did as Ash fisted the loose belt, then gently drew Chase up to his feet with it around his throat.
Chase followed Ash’s body with his hands, teasing a touch between Ash’s thighs, hurting him with how hard his cock was because, fuck—Chase played sub so fucking well—so Ash pushed him up against the wall, his threat more than staged clear enough with how Chase had pissed the Dom off.
He came in close, lips almost dusting Chase’s. “What do you not do in public, pup?”
The belt tightened on Chase’s throat, and Ash tugged his hair, forcing his look up and gaining access to his throat as the belt tightened around it.
“Touch you in public, sir.” It came so quietly. “I’m not to touch.”
Ash nipped at his jaw, loving the feel of Chase against him. “What did you just do?”
A hand traced Ash’s inside thigh. “I touched, sir.”
Jack blames her dark writing influences on living close to one of England’s finest forests. Having grown up hearing a history of kidnappings, murders, strange sightings, and sexual exploits her neck of the woods is renowned for, Jack takes that into her writing, having also learned that human coping strategies for intense situations can sometimes make the best of people have disastrously bad moments. Redeeming those flaws is a drive, and if that drive just happens to lead to sexual tension between two or more guys, Jack’s the first to let nature take its course.
Two of Jack’s works, Don’t… and Antidote (Don’t… book 2) have picked up Honorable Mention Awards at the 2013 (Don’t) and 2014 (Antidote) Rainbow Awards. Antidote was also a finalist (Rainbow Awards 2014).
