Zenith is an omega street thief that no pocket, bank, or safe can keep him out. He works alone, survives alone, and gets by on the edge.
Declan is an alpha master thief that lives in the lap of luxury. He and his crew are a tight group that pulls off some of the biggest heists the city has ever seen.
When Zenith breaks into Declan ‘impregnable’ apartment, Declan catches him red handed. When they touch, they find out they are fated mates. Now the two accomplished criminals have to learn to live together, love together, and bridge their two worlds.
Declan and his crew of fellow shifters are planning a big job, big enough to retire on. Declan and Zenith must come to terms in skill, and love, if they are going to work together to pull of the biggest job of their lives. When Zenith becomes pregnant, it complicates things even more for the two coyotes.

REVIEW:

Anyone who knows me or has listened, knows I love the alpha/omega trope. So when I have the chance, I jump at it. But this time, I was a little disappointed. The ‘bones’ of this story were intriguing, but it felt like something was missing. It just needed more to me. Some angst. More of their backgrounds. Something. And although I like the fated mates thing, I don’t always like the fated mates = instalove. I just really wanted more with this story.

Zenith comes from a poor background. But he’s tired of being poor. So he does what he’s good at. Rob the rich. He gets everything ready and then breaks into a wealthy man’s apartment. Declan’s apartment. And as Zenith is pillaging Declan’s loot, he notices Declan has a secret of his own. He’s a thief himself. Caught in the act, Declan tries to decide what to do with Zenith. When he touches Zenith, it’s an instantaneous spark. They’re mates. Fated mates. And although neither wanted this, they can’t deny the pull to each other. As they build on it, Declan reveals he’s planning the biggest job of all. Big enough he and his crew can retire. Zenith wants in. As the time draws nearer to the job, though, Zenith’s pregnancy becomes closer to due date, and the job becomes dangerous as they struggle to get out without getting caught.

I loved the idea of this story. Two thieves. One being caught by the other as he’s being robbed. Oh, the irony. And throwing in their fated mates on top of it adds for extra tension. There was chemistry between the characters which added another twist. But to me, after that, it fell flat. It was instalove, do the job, (not enough tension for me there. They needed to be almost caught, for me anyway.), have the baby and live happily ever after. That’s it. *Sigh*  I honestly don’t know what else to write because that’s all there was for me. For a quick story, it wasn’t bad. Just needed more. Happy reading!
