BLURB:
Eldred Henstare is a not so powerful witch who’s been left in charge of helping the city’s lingering spirits to move on. He usually handles it pretty well, but something’s wrong with the spirit leading him to the abandoned lighthouse.
Mo Vin likes his quiet life in the cottage next to the lighthouse, at least it’s quiet until one night when Eldred Henstare—young, beautiful and crazy—arrives. After that night things aren’t the same. A man is found dead on the beach outside Mo’s cottage, and he’s almost sure he’s the one who killed him, except it doesn’t make sense. Why would he kill anyone?
Eldred needs to get rid of the ghost haunting Mo. If he doesn’t Mo’s life is in danger, but to do it he needs both Mo and his brother Lachtin to help out.
REVIEW:
This was the cutest little paranormal book. My only complaint is I wish there were more. I loved little Eldred. He’s so adorable and just a bumbling mess. It’s so cute.
Eldred is in charge of keeping his little city safe from ghosts and such. But sometimes it’s too much for his powers. And he needs his brother, Lachtin, to help, even though Lachtin hates it. On a dark and stormy night (haha), Eldred feels a pull by something powerful but he can’t get a handle on where it is. He knows he should call for his brother to help, but he wants to try it alone. But he knows he can’t. And then he runs into Mo. The current owner of the lighthouse, who he’s not quite sure of. Is he a ghost or is one controlling him? He figures out neither is the case and because of what he’s doing to check for ghosts and such, Mo thinks he’s nuts. Especially considering Mo thinks Eldred is too young and Eldred keeps hitting on him because he thinks Mo is just right. But the ghost is causing a lot of trouble to the point people are being murdered and Mo is in danger. With the help of Lachtin and Mo, Eldred has to go against something quite powerful and something he’s never encountered before. Hopefully he can do it before anyone else gets hurt. Especially Mo.
Little Eldred is so flippin cute. While on his hunt for this ghost, he runs into Mo. Part of it is nervousness that keeps him hitting on Mo, but the other is he really wants the man. I feel for Eldred, though, because he gets so lonely. People can’t normally handle his kind of power or what he does or the fact that he’s a witch at all. He can’t help he’s different. He just wants love like anyone else. And it’s so funny because he gets Mo so flustered. Mo cracks me up because no matter how hard he fights it, he was hit between the eyes with a bolt. He thinks Eldred is way too young but he can’t help but be captivated by this bundle of fire and energy. It really gets funny when he gets a double dose in the form of twins, known as Eldred and Lachtin. That’s enough to make your eyes cross lol. But he really realizes how intrigued he is by Eldred when he realizes he almost lost him. And no matter what the age difference, he can’t help but hold on and never let go.
I need more lol. Eldred was just so cute. I want more of him. I want to see what adventures he gets into next. This definitely a short story that’s a lot of fun and should be read.
