If you’re anything like us then you’re already compiling your 2018 “To Read” list, but first, let’s share some of our favourite books from the year just gone.

DANIELLE
Fantastic ending to a more than fabulous series. R.J Scott rocked it out of the park with this one and brought the most wonderful ending to this series. (and lets face it, Riley and Jack, you know)
Unscripted Love (Road to Blissville #1) by Aimee Nicole Walker
I discovered this author this year and read all there was from her hand. This series is fantastic as it continues from the former series. I loved to read the story of Kyle and Chaz finally and I loved how the author intertwined the other characters from the Curl Up and Dye series in this one also.
What a story. One of the best books of 2017 IMOP. It made me search and read for other stories by this author. Great storytelling, great writing. Book hangover after finishing it.
A Very Marian Christmas by Lucy Lennox
What is not to love about this one? As a big fan of the author and of the Made Marian series, this brought everything together. So incredable to read about all the Marian brothers and their significant others. Cheer and happiness reading this.
A Little Bit Like Love (South Haven #1) by Brooke Blaine
Another book hangover book for me. Everything in this story just got to me. The writing, the charaters, the story (while it definitely isn’t my favorite trope). I kind of begged the author to have the second book in the series asap
Lavender Shores Series by Rosalind Abel
Series at its best. I love me a good series and this one has it all. I love the fact the author (Brandon Witt writing as Rosalind Abel) stepped out of his comfort zone and brought us readers this wonderful contemporary series.
Believe in the Wish by Christi Snow
This book is really like, wow. It hit me completely out of the blue , I didn’t expect anything like that as I picked it up kind of by accident. This story is incredibly good, well written , slaps you in the face and picks you up again, breaks your heart and puts the pieces back together.
I also recommend this author’s Snowcroft Men series, which is also fabulous.
At Last, The Beloved Series by Stella Starling
I love this series this author made it to my auto buy list after reading this series (and by now all her m/m books). Great series to read for every contemporary series lover.
This is a story that stays with you. It draws you in and makes you realize and think about serious life issues. An emotional rollercoaster which also speaks about hidden strength in both main and side characters. (and I liked seeing a contemporary story from this author)
Locked in Silence (Pelican Bay #1) by Sloane Kennedy
It would be crazy not to include this author in my best of list. This author alone gave me so many hours of reading pleasure in the past year with all her series. This story is everything you can ask for in a Sloane Kennedy story. Great premise, great characters and great writing. A fabulous start to a new series.
I am quoting my review here, because that kind of says it all:
If I could give more than 5 stars I would give it. This book totally blew me away
Miss Via has outdone herself on this piece of art. What a great addition and what a great stor .
Combining Steele and Tech their story together with Day and God. (and the whole team present) Amazing! It was a series lovers wet dream and more.
So unlike any other story by this author. What a magnificent read and story. The Chemistry, the romance, the drama – different from his gritty sexy stories, yet with a huge impact and a lasting impression. As a fan of this author I was sincerely worried when I heard about this one and kind of hesitant. I couldn’t have been more wrong. This is as good as you can get, plain and simple. (on a personal note I can only hope this won’t be the last story I’m able to read from this author)
Depth of Field (Last Chance #1) by Riley Hart
Is there anything this author writes that isn’t fabulous? For me she is an auto buy and this story tells you exactly why. Brillant story telling, great writing, strong characters, I could have listed any other story that came out this year by this author but I chose this one.
As I already cheated and have more then 10 or 11 or 12 I guess I can just as well make 2 recommendations here also…
Deeds and Confetti (Mary’s Boys #4) by Brandon Witt
This was the final part of the Mary Boys series and is a book that lets you say – this is how you want a series to end.
Still Your Guy by Devon McCormack
Author Devon McCormack at his best! What a great story – strong characters, a good plot, sexiness and great portrayal in total. I absolutely think this is one of his best stories.
Let me add that both Devon and Riley Hart (mentioned above) are also co writing together, the Metropolis series, for example was released this year and is absolutely worth reading!
Thank you for your list! I have a bunch of these on my wishlist or TBR. I loved Nothing Special V and Locked in Silence too. I’m working my way through Rosalind Abel’s books now.
Danielle…you and I must be soul sisters because all of the books you’ve listed, that I’ve read, mirror my feelings. Let’s hope 2018 has some just as good!
I’ve already listed ‘Love Me Whole’ by Nicky James as one of my favorites of the year. If you have time, give it a try!
A great list. I have read a few of these and have to agree with your choices.
I’ve read a good few of these and totally agree with your choices.
Great list Dani I loved Depht of Field by Riley Hart and i just read Color Me In the second book in the Last Chance serie yesterday and i highly recommend that one to you 🙂
The only one I have read is Texas Gift – and what a great read it was!
Reading everyone’s lists was so much fun! Thanks for sharing them. Here’s to another great year of reading.
Thank you for the list. Love seeing all the diverse selection of books.
Thanks for the month of amazing recs!
haven’t read any of these although several are on my wish list
I read and loved Play Chopin for me… I must add some of these books to my TBR list. Thank you for sharing your list, Danielle
I love Stella Starling’s series, she hasn’t released anything in a while though.
Thanks for the tops. Some authors I know, others I don’t, and some series I need to get started on (Scott’s Texas, to name one, and I’m from Texas, for Pete’s sake).
