REVIEW:

Well I gotta say, Mr. Marshall Thornton, that if you are reading this, you need to get yourself in a comfy seat, prop your feet, toast yourself with a glass of wine or something and pat yourself on the back because this book is a hit. It is fabulous. I think I like it better than the first one. And I loved the first one. Man if you guys aren’t reading these books, you definitely need to. Mystery, some giggles, some queens, and some drama all rolled in one. It really is a good time and I couldn’t put it down.

Bless Noah’s heart, he tried so hard to ignore what was going on around him, but darn it all if he isn’t caught in the middle of another murder and a mystery that actually involves him this time. By way of his dead partner, who liked to keep secrets that Noah had no clue about. With the help of his downstairs neighbors/friends and some reconnections he never thought possible, he does everything he can to figure out what is going on. For some reason, everyone thinks he has a dress given to him by his dead lover. He has no clue about it or where it could even be. But the more time goes by, the more people that end up dead. And one on his doorstep. Well, his friends from downstairs doorstep. Noah ends up going through old things trying to figure out what is going on, only to finally learn after telling his mom a secret of his own, that the mystery of the dress itself has been solved. Now to figure out who is in such a desperate search for it and why.

In the first book, Noah got in some trouble by sticking his nose into the murder mystery. This one pretty much fell in his lap. And he didn’t want it there. After almost losing his life, he just wants to run his business and work on trying to get better after the health gift his dead lover gave him. Trying to cope with HIV has left Noah in a mess more ways than one. His insurance is going up, his pills make his sick, he is losing weight, and he is afraid to tell anyone so he’s dealing with all this on his own. To make matters even worse, his ex’s family has found out he is positive and are saying he is lying about him giving it to Noah. So poor sweet Noah has had enough. And now everyone is after for a dress he knows nothing about. Gah. If anyone ever deserves a break, it’s Noah. I just want to hug him. He such a sweetheart. He cares so much about people. And is so loyal. What makes me so sad, though, is I think he feels like he’s unlovable now and I hate that. He has caught the eye of a certain gorgeous detective, and I have been screaming at the book for him to just tell him and get with him. Or give him a chance! But fear of rejection is a major issue, especially with that kind of secret. Heaven knows you don’t want to be looked at like a freak. *Sigh* I really love Noah lol.

Well, the fun has begun again and I gotta say…..I hope there is a 3rd lol. I’m so enjoying these mysteries. It’s so comical to see what kind of mess Noah and his neighbors get into. Sometimes it’s not a good thing, but they still can make it fun. I definitely recommend this book and if you haven’t read the first one…go get it first! They are a blast to read!
