AMBER
Spectrum Nights Series by Melanie Hansen
These stories are riddled with abuse, homophobia, pain, obsession, unhealthy behavior but it also feels incredibly positive at times. There’s so much hope and good in these men that you can’t help but root for them. These books really makes you believe in unconditional love, true love, and second chances.
Metahuman Files Series by Hailey Turner
This was without a doubt the best paranormal/sci-fi romance series that I read all year. This series was passionate and action packed. It’s one of those series that when you start it you will need to finish them all….it’s addictive and amazing!
Honestly, there are several books of Adrienne’s that were my favorites of the year. WILD was probably my most favorite.
WILD is another story that is captivating, enthralling, and grabs your attention from the very beginning and doesn’t let go. This is suspenseful to the extreme and the desperation is suffocating. I loved how hopeless and hopeful this story was and I loved how the two extremes were in a constant battle. This story is just so friggin good…there was no predictability here and I loved it.
His Quiet Agent by Ada Maria Soto
Simply put this was one of the most beautiful love stories I read all year. There’s nothing else to be said…it was just beautiful.
Gazes Into You (Mr & Mr Detective #1) by Alex Jane
This was without a doubt one of my favs of the year. I whole heartedly recommend it although I know it won’t be for everyone. Great writing, amazing story…fantastic start to a series!!
Whiteout (Seasons of Love #1) by Elyse Springer
Plot twist of the year…!!! Whiteout is laid out in such a unique way that you can’t help but be completely ensnared from just the first few pages. New author, Elyse Springer has come out of the gates swinging and quite frankly, hit this one way out of the park.
The Difference Between by Blake Moreno
This story is so well thought out, so well told. You can’t help but get sucked into the lives of these characters and despite all the pain this is a love story. A story about overcoming to unimaginable horrors, survival, recovery, and what happens next.
Off the Ice (Hat Trick #1) by Avon Gale & Piper Vaughn
There was so much about this book that I just loved. The teacher/student dynamic, the age gap, the kink, the hockey….it all worked and made for one of my favorite starts to a series.
The way the author put this story together was magic, in my opinion. This story gives you all the warm and fuzzies but its also real…real life…real pain…and the best of all real hope, love, and happiness.
Thank you for the list, Amber. I only read one of these books, The Difference Between, and I really enjoyed it… Though it was a difficult book to read!
Great list Amber there are only a couple that I haven’t got and I’m adding them to my wish list.
OFF THE ICE was fantastic, so I need to read the rest!
