REVIEW:
This is a cute story about a lone alpha werewolf and a young vampire who end up being fates mates. Fated mates are somewhat rare in vampires, so when Andrew comes into contact with Kristoff, things get a little out of control.
Andrew is the personal assistant to the, Nik, Master Vampire, coven leader and owner of the Imperial club. He is a sweet guy who was taken in by Nik and his second, Josef, after being orphaned at an early age. They are quite protective of him, so when the alpha wolf shifts in public in the club, and Andrew jumps to his side, both of them claiming to be mates, Nik and Josef are a bit concerned. This concern is further exacerbated by the info they uncover about Kristoff’s past.
Kristoff is a lone alpha. There are issues with his previous pack, the hierarchy and his brother who is the current alpha. When that past comes back to haunt him and potentially harm his new mate, Kristoff decides to end things once and for all.
I enjoyed the mix of wolf and vampire in this story. This started out with a potentially gritty feel which I was really looking forward to. However, once the mates were discovered, it got sugary sweet pretty quickly. This can probably be read as a stand alone, but you’ll most definitely want to go back and read about Nik and his mate in the previous book. I know I did and will definitely be looking for more out of this series.
