Under the lights of the beautiful city, Tromsø, the call for pleasure fills the snowy air.
Having left the deep north in an attempt to bury past demons, Halken finds himself drawn in by a gorgeous blond dryad. With his original plan to leave Tromsø tossed out the window, he takes his dance partner home, fully intent on mating with him.
Nolan has heard rumors about werewolves, what they like in the bedroom. He quickly finds out that most all of these rumors are true. Taken in by his sexy wolf, he finds himself in the most erotic of situations with Halken…and begging for more.
Halken talks little of himself, preferring to keep his past exactly where it belongs. In the past.
But what he left there has a mind of its own. A deranged rogue wolf stalks the city, following the scent of what he wants—and he will have it, one way or another.
REVIEW:
There’s a whole lot of story packed into 59 pages with this novella but it mostly works. The story gets steamy right off the start and I’m okay with that due to the whole supernatural “mates” thing. The sex is definitely steamy, there’s no denying that.
Nolan is sweet and Halken is definitely the bad boy in this situation, but like most of them, he has a heart of gold when it comes to his mate. I liked them together a lot.
I haven’t read the first novel in this series although I will get to it. The side characters a mixed bunch who are interesting enough for me to be curious about their back stories. I hope I get them. It was fun to see what the different supernatural races would bring to the hunt for Nolan.
The author has put together a good fantasy world that is easy for me to picture in my head and that goes a long way to upping my enjoyment.
My only issue with Wolf’s Kiss is that it would have benefited from a few more pages. Give time to build the anticipation, it would have made Halken’s stress and worry seem a lot more real, even with the “mate” issue.
All in all its a good fantasy story that will have me looking for more by this author.
