Hello, friends! Welcome to C.S. Poe’s final post of 2017 here at Love Bytes! Holy crap. I can’t believe the year is over. I did not get everything done. Not even close. Okay, so naturally this is going to be a New Year’s Resolution post. But like— fun resolutions. Because I’m not a ‘go to the gym’ kind of person. I already know it’s a lost cause. So let’s start!
- Continue my free read, choose your own adventure story here at Love Bytes, The Murder Collection. Because you guys have been asking about it, and boy am I just several months behind on that!
- Mail letters on time. Seriously, Poe. ‘Mail this by the 23rd’ does not mean drop it into the mailbox on the 27th and hope for the best.
- Play with more cats. In fact, in January, I will be taking a training course to be a volunteer at the local animal shelter here in Key West. Woohoo! I’m going to pet all the cats!
- Eat more Japanese Kit Kats. If you guys ever get the chance to try the flavors they have, like pumpkin pudding, green tea, purple sweet potato— oh my God, to die for.
- Revive my Tumblr account. I love Tumblr. Is it still as cool as it was in 2013? I met my BFF on Tumblr! I gotta go back….
So there you have it. Do you have any resolutions for 2018? Serious ones? Funny ones? I’ll see you all in the New Year, and Happy Holidays!
Color of You
Bowen Merlin—yes, that’s his real name—accepts a position in the quaint town of Lancaster, New Hampshire, as the high school band director. He leaves New York City for the snowy countryside of New England just in time for the holidays. With class, homework, after-school activities, and a surprise Christmas concert to plan and rehearse, Bowen is plenty busy. And since he’s never had much luck with romance, factoring in time to find Mr. Right isn’t a priority….
Until he meets the proprietor of Snowy Ridge Apple Orchard, Felix Hansen. Suddenly, true love seems like a possibility for the first time in Bowen’s life. The two are a perfect match and fill the skipped beats of each other’s hearts. But as wonderful as Felix seems, he’s harboring scars that could end their budding relationship when someone in town goes to great lengths to sabotage their careers.
If Bowen is to survive the holidays, he’ll need to lean on old friends and new, convince Felix he’s worth any hardship, and prove they can come out of the catastrophe stronger if they do so together.

Enjoy your holidays! I’m going to have to look for those Japanese Kit Kats.
If you have a World Market near you. I know they carry the green tea kit kats! 🙂
Excellent resolutions all!
I love the green tea kit kats, myself. 🙂
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed everything you’ve written thus far, by the way.
Happy holidays to you and yours!
