Can Dylan and Jake sail off to their happily ever after, or are they cruising toward disaster?
REVIEW:
Cruising is a light, super-sweet love fantasy coming to life in this short story. I am a true sucker for the from best friends to lovers scenario and this one filled my little heart with all the great feels coming from this particular situation.
The story is surprisingly whole given the shortness of it but I never expected anything less from Cate Ashwood. She is wonderful with words and we get great writing style as usual with two fun, lovable characters and some sizzling sexy-time. The alternating first person POV gives us a chance to see how both our MCs feel as well as enjoy their different personalities.
Jake and Dylan have been friends since college but never managed to be single at the same time. Their attraction is mutual but obviously unknown to the other. Jake has had enough and he decided to take matters in his own hand and invites Dylan to a cruise to Alaska to tip the balance and see if there really is more for them than friendship. What happens on the boat is really entertaining, emotional and overall heartwarming. These two share some explosive chemistry and their sexy-time is beautifully written with just the minimal angst that makes this story complete.
If you are looking for a light, fun, sexy read, this is a great choice for you.
