You better watch out. You better not cry. Hot Mall Santa is coming to town!
Instead of round and jolly, this year’s mall Santa is chiseled and smoldering. The second he strolls into Oakville Mall wearing sunglasses, stubble, and his Santa hat cocked to the side, Santa gets all the tongues wagging—especially Tom Webster’s. A lowly retail associate at The Décor Store, Tom spends his time chasing a promotion and boss that are both out of reach. His fantasies about being a ho-ho-ho for Santa soon cross into reality after an unexpected night together. While the rest of the town obsesses over Hot Mall Santa, Tom gets to know the sweet, nerdy history buff under the suit and six-pack abs. But to win Santa’s heart, he must fight off the lusty moms, adoring fans, and his own fear of rejection.
Hot Mall Santa is a fun and sexy novella at 32,000 words filled with nutty Christmas shoppers, a grown man wearing reindeer antlers, and too many holiday puns.
REVIEW:
What great fun! Hot Mall Santa is all the things I love about Christmas stories. Crazy situations turned into brilliant reading material. A.J. Truman provides us with a short, happy Christmas story that makes you smile with every (well almost every) page turn.
Of course this book has your clichés. Hot Mall Santa is, obviously, hot. Tall, six pack abs, gorgeous and sexy. He also has a penis that is the envy of anyone who sees it. When he and Tom Webster meet each other in Tom’s secret lunch stop, the lust Tom feels starts to transform into deeper feelings.
Tom is an interesting character. He knows he goes above and beyond in his job, but isn’t getting promoted. His crush on his boss certainly doesn’t help matters. So when Tom gets to know Santa, he can’t quite understand why this hot, smart and funny man would be interested in him.
I love Tom’s good friend and workmate, Kristen. She is funny and her interactions with Tom are really good. The fact that she talks and asks questions no matter who is standing in the store makes for some interesting situations. And it also leads to the small amount of tension in the story.
Add in the antlers, some hot sex, crazy Christmas shoppers and a Santa that defies the norm and you have yourself one fun, happy holiday read.
