Love bytes Intro

Holiday romances are one of my favorite things. There’s a magical feel in the air at this time of year. Music, parties, and a joyful feeling are accompanied with a sense of good will, peace, love and above all, hope. It’s easy to get caught up in the fanciful notion that a simple wish could change your life.

In Leaning Into a Wish, Ryan and Danny are coworkers at a prestigious winery. Ryan isn’t a fan of the gregarious former jock but they’re inexplicably drawn to one another after the bustle of harvest season. In fact, they’re inseparable. And as their attraction grows, so does the realization that their time together is temporary. If they have any hope of a future, their best bet may be leaning into a holiday wish.

Thank you so much for allowing me to share the beautiful new cover art created by Reese Dante. I’m looking forward to introducing you to Ryan and Danny! Mark your calendars! Leaning Into a Wish will be released November 22!

*Please note, this novella is part of the Leaning Into Series but it can be read as a standalone.

Happy Reading!

Leaning Into a Wish Blurb

Ryan Haskell loves everything about the wine business. He’s fortunate to work at one of the most prestigious wineries in Napa Valley doing something he enjoys with the people who are like family to him. But he could do without the good-natured intern slash former jock with the wicked grin who always seems to be in the way. Ryan isn’t sure why the new guy is under his skin when everyone else loves him. Thankfully he’ll be gone after the holidays.

Danny Meyers can’t believe his luck when he lands an internship at Conrad Winery. It’s the perfect temporary gig to wrap up his graduate studies. He’s left his dreams of tennis stardom on the court to focus on a new career and a new life. However, he didn’t count on the spark of attraction he feels for his prickly co-worker. When their tentative friendship blossoms into something more than either man counted on, they may have to change direction and lean into a holiday wish.

  1. I love holiday romances as well… they help me get in the mood for Xmas. Congratulations on the release, Lane. The cover is really enticing

  2. Congrats on the release! I love holiday stories and wine, so this story is right up my alley. Gorgeous cover too. (It is sad about the terrible fires recently in CA’s wine country. We have family there. Fortunately they are all okay. )

    1. This was written before the fires. I couldn’t stop thinking about it afterward. Such a tragedy but the people in Napa Valley are very resilient and strong. And yes… holidays and wine go very well together in my opinion too!!

  3. Everything about the cover fits the story perfectly. The red hues, not just for Christmas but for the winery part of the story. The color of the guy’s shirt meshed well with its background. And of course, that guy is nothing short of swoon-worthy. <3

  4. Lane, you never fail to disappoint with characters and plots that grab my heart and make my days just a little bit better. With the cover artist completing the offering my smile is a little broader too. I’m loving this series and a special Christmas special makes it even better!

We spent a month in Monterey last year and smelt smoke almost every day. Three years ago we stayed in Santa Rosa. I’m almost afraid to go back and have my heart broken by the loss I’m sure I’ll find. So many brave people lost their lives and many their homes and livelihood. May next year be better.

    1. Thank you so much. I’m loving these SF boys!

And yes, I’m so horribly saddened by the fires and the tragic loss of life in the Napa Valley region last month. I feel the same as you. I’m a afraid to see the damage there. It’s just heartbreaking.

  5. Love holiday reads and this sounds like one I definitely have to check out! And that cover is fantastic! ๐Ÿ™‚
