He’s willing to do whatever it takes to wrest control of Kingston Corp. from Nate.
Nate may be soft-spoken, but he refuses to be swayed by Adam’s arrogant demands. When Nate accidentally drops a pair of his lacy panties in front of Adam, there’s no mistaking Adam’s interest. Nate hadn’t realized Adam was bisexual, but now that his secret is out, Nate is willing to use Adam’s lust against him if it means protecting the welfare of the company he loves.
For Adam and Nate, hatred and desire are closely linked. Their inability to compromise threatens the company and could expose their tightly held secrets. But as they work together to develop a plan to save Kingston Corp., they begin to realize there might be more to their relationship than anger and lust.
REVIEW:
I loved this one!!
It was a great combination of writing, characters and manties! Silvia really brought Adam and Nate alive on page, firstly with their hatred morphing into off the charts lust and finally love.
Enemies to lovers is a favourite trope of mine – I love all the emotion it brings out in characters and the battle they face when they realise that their feelings have completely changed and then watching as they have to deal with everything that follows.
Adam and Nate are not really enemies through their own making. Adam’s father was a less than stellar parent whilst alive and Nate was almost the stand in prodigy he had always desired. Upon his death the Kingston Company is divided between Nate and Adam – a huge shock to Adam and war between the two men is declared as they try to move things forward with no compromise from either of them. It’s also fair to say Adam had led a very privileged life and was a bit of a spoiled brat and that was something Nate was very quick to squash.
There is always a very thin line between love and hate or in this case initially lust and hate and that line becomes blurred when Adam spots a pair of lace panties that fall out of Nate’s bag. It becomes a niggle in his brain that he can’t get rid of, a curiosity that he needs to know more about and through some pretty stalkerish behaviour he’s in for a pretty big wake up call.
Their relationship is hot from the start but difficult for a lot more reasons than the mere fact that they are supposed to be enemies. Adam is in the closet and is afraid what it will do to his business persona to admit openly that he is bisexual. Nate wants a relationship that isn’t hidden away. Adam wants everyone to assume he is always in control when in fact what he really wants is to feel safe and secure enough to give up that control – Nate is more than happy to be the dominant one in the relationship and there is a very light D/s side that ramps the tension and lust up even more.
Theirs is not an easy ride but it is a fun and hot one and if you are fan of Silvia Violet this one will not disappoint!
