TITLE: Say Yes
AUTHOR: J.R. Gray
PUBLISHER: Gray Books
LENGTH: 126 pages
RELEASE DATE: July 24, 2017
BLURB:
James failed.
He tried to be what they wanted.
He tried to deny it.
He tried to be a good Catholic boy…but it’s become too much.
He craves pain, submission.
He’s denied himself far too long, and it’s eating him alive.
Charles thrives off the exchange of power. He knows the world revolves around control. It’s given and taken like currency, in business and in pleasure. He won’t get attached, though, or so he tells himself, until James turns his world upside down. He’s defiant and snarky, but Charles can taste the submission on him.
Charles holds the key to his salvation but James has to Say Yes.
REVIEW:
I cannot curse in my review here in the blog so I am definitely leaving my choice words up to you so *insert lots of cursing*. I can’t believe we got an ending like this. I have no idea what happened and also what, if any will happen in the future. If this book is a standalone I am definitely screaming right now. If there is a sequel, we might get a few answers.
So anyway… Say Yes is a very confusing, buy very well written story of an older dominant seeking out a young man after sensing an undeniable bond with his submissive aura.
I have no idea what to think now, honestly. Up until the last page it was a solid read with a few issues, but I had good feels overall. The last page threw me for the curb and my mind is totally blown, unfortunately not in the good way. I am pissed. Totally pissed. By the time I got the feel of this couple, by the time I believed they could work together, everything is taken away from me… this is not what I had expected.
I wasn’t feeling the whole dynamics in the beginning and I would have liked to get to know our MCs a bit more, not only about their sexual preferences. We got thrown into things very abruptly. There was not enough lead up to events, being it the kink party or the chemistry between our MCs. I would have liked a lot more details and also a bit more depth on their personalities would have been nice. By the end it all worked out nicely, the chemistry was there with the feelings then BUMM, we got the ending.
I have no clue what comes next so if you enjoy kinks, BDSM and want a WTF ending, this is a great choice for you.
