BLURB:
Dr. Nicholas White was finally pursuing what he wanted. Or rather, who he wanted. After a year of marriage to a woman he was sure was cheating on him, he got a divorce and found himself in bed with the man he couldn’t stop thinking about. It was a heated and passionate encounter that left them both wanting more.
So much more.
Shepard Kensworth couldn’t believe how strongly he connected with Nick. Shepard was a resident at the hospital and should have had his nose buried in a book, not in Nick’s chest. Their moment was brief, but their feelings certainly weren’t.
That same day, Nick received news that altered the course of his life forever. A rift cracked between the two men before they could ever solidify anything.
When life pushes them back together, the two men begin to accept just how perfect of a match they are. Not everyone is happy with the reunion, though. When outside forces threaten to tear them apart again, Nick and Shepard must come together stronger than ever before or end up shattered beyond repair.
______________
Code White is the fourth book in the Sierra View series, although they can be read in any order. It’s a full-length, steamy gay romance and has no cliffhangers.
REVIEW:
We get to find out all about Crow’s identical twin!
Shepard Kensworth is the twin brother of singing sensation Crow Kensworth. He is busy studying to become a doctor at Sierra View. He has had his eyes on the über gorgeous and sexy attending Dr. Nicholas White since the moment they met. But the sexy doctor has just gone through a nasty divorce. One moment in an empty room was all it took and Shepard had fulfilled his fantasy. But they both realized that one moment wasn’t nearly enough for either man after that experience. However, fate has a way of interrupting desires of the heart. Nick’s ex-wife has a hell of a surprising news awaiting him that night that completely ruins his plans for any future with Shepard, or does it? “Code White” leads us on an adventure with these two wonderful men and an adorable baby girl.
I was hoping we would get Shepard’s story. We had gotten glimpses of him in Crow’s story and I was wanting to know more about the sexy twin. I was also relieved to have us back at the hospital. Although we don’t seem to be staying around it as much as we did in the start of the series, it is the base that brings these men together.
Chris, Anna’s brother was a piece of work. I had a feeling about who he really was and I was right. But the nastiest piece of dirt was Shepard’s ex, Rick! I knew something was up but he was my biggest surprise.
The newest book in the Sierra View series also gives us a couple glimpses of some of our favorite men from the past books in the series. I love when we hear a bit more about the men I have become invested in.
I was so glad to get to visit the Sierra View hospital again and wasn’t disappointed with my return visit. Author Max Walker doesn’t disappoint with his stories of beautiful men and their journeys towards a wonderful HEA. He also adds a bit of danger and intrigue to mix it up a bit. This was a treat for me that I am sure won’t disappoint!
