Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by the Unbroken Hearts blog tour! Unbroken Hearts was released from Dreamspinner Press on October 11th. This is the second edition but it’s polished up with new edits, and includes the original story, the short Unwrapped Hearts (3rd book in the series), and 25,000 words of new content.
For this blog post, I thought I’d change it up and let my characters tell you a little bit about themselves. Don’t forget to enter the Rafflecopter giveaway at the end of the post. Big thanks to Love Bytes for taking part in the tour. Good luck and happy autumn.
How would you describe yourself?
Brett Taylor: I’m just a good old country boy living a quiet life with the man I love.
JT Campbell: My answer isn’t as sappy as Brett’s. I’m a Californian through and through, although I’m worried I might be turning a Texas-country-bumpkin just like my best guy. I also consider myself an amateur psychologist just so I can analyze Brett.
Brett: You’re one of the best looking guys I know too.
JT: Just one of them?
Ray Durant: Stop it, you two. I haven’t had my coffee yet. I guess that’s my answer. I’m the guy who just wants a damn cup of coffee before I have to deal with all these stupid questions.
Millie Taylor-Montgomery-Allan: I’m the queen of the Taylor clan. You ask any of these boys, they’ll tell you the same.
What is your greatest strength?
Brett: The greatest strength in my life is JT.
JT: You can’t use me for every answer.
Brett: I promise this will be the last one. But you are…he is my strength. He pulled me out of the bottle I was in for three years.
JT: Your greatest strength is your heart, Brett.
Brett: I guess that’s a pretty good answer too. Thanks Darlin’. And your strength is the fact you’re so much brighter than me.
JT: No, I’m not.
Brett: And your heart. Your heart is one of my favorite parts of you.
Ray: Are you two just gonna keep talking stupid or do Millie and I get a turn?
Millie: I have a lot of strengths. I’m the best pie-maker this side of Dallas—
Brett: Best pies in the state, is more like it.
Millie: Hush, Brett. You’ve had more than enough turns to talk. Now where was I? I suppose I’m pretty strong of heart is since I do a lot of charity work.
Ray: My strength is putting up with these lunkheads. Patience. I have a hell of a lot of that too.
Millie: I’ll go along with Ray’s answer too. Patience is a big necessity in this little family.
Biggest weakness?
Ray: Ah, don’t ask them that. They’re just gonna say each other.
Millie: I agree again. I’m adding a rule that they can’t keep naming each other.
Brett: Mama. Don’t keep siding with him.
Millie: Ain’t no sides, son. Just answer the questions without using JT for every answer.
Brett: I don’t think that’s possible.
Millie: Brett…
Brett: Fine. Fine. Mama’s pies are my biggest weakness. Is that better? Oh, and big-eyed puppies. They get me every time.
JT: And sad movies, Brett.
Brett: I thought we were only answering for ourselves. But yeah, I’m not too proud to admit I cry at all those damn rom-coms you make me watch.
JT: They’re sort of my weakness too and Millie’s pie. Family is also a weakness for me, at least the one I have right here.
Millie: That’s the sweetest answer, JT. For me…I just can’t resist a good smutty romance novel.
Brett: Mama!
Ray: Coffee. Bitter and hotter than hell. That’s my damn weakness.
Favorite movie? Television show?
Brett: Well I can’t use JT for this one, now can I? That’s a toughie though. I like that one with Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer. Tombstone, right? Doc Holliday and Wyatt Earp. And television …that one with the gladiators. Um…Spartacus. Hella good show.
JT: I like psychological thrillers but if you want to know my guilty pleasure—it’s superhero movies. I’ll take one of those any day of the week. Captain America and Bucky Barnes. I could watch them read the phonebook if they were on the screen. I’m with Brett. Spartacus is great.
Millie: Gone With the Wind and I do like that Nashville program.
Ray: Anything with The Duke in it. I don’t watch no television.
What’s the best way to cheer you up?
Brett: Hand me my guitar and let me loose.
JT: A quiet afternoon by the creek always makes me feel better.
Millie: Glass of wine and a good book.
Ray: Hanging out with the horses because they don’t talk back.

Title: Unbroken Hearts
Series: Unbreak My Heart, book 2
Publisher: Dreamspinner Press
Release date: October 11, 2017
~~Country singer turned rancher Brett Taylor fought his way out of the bottle, so he could have JT Campbell in his life. JT’s patience, intelligence, and humor broke through Brett’s walls of depression, and now the once-isolated rancher and his young California guy in search of himself are together on Brett’s Texas ranch.
While Brett and JT are more in love than ever, they’re still dealing with past baggage and learning how to move forward. Brett’s former lover casts a long shadow over their lives—one JT tries to pretend doesn’t bother him. Can Brett soothe his fears with the sort of sappy, sentimental Valentine’s Day JT was taught to shun growing up—but secretly always wanted?
When Halloween rolls around, a costumed night out at the local bar might lead to another romantic first. And on Christmas morning, JT awakes to some sweet loving and the most meaningful gift he could ever imagine. The New Year truly brings a new beginning—ushered in by some silly, sparkly, and sexy fun.
One year. Four important holidays. Two men who have worked hard for the love and trust they share and the bright future that’s finally within their grasp.~~

K-lee Klein loves guys with long hair and tattoos, and you’ll often find her front and center at her favorite rock concerts. She has bounced around Western Canada all her life, but will always consider the solitude and beauty of the British Columbian mountains home. Her life is blessed as the proud mother of three now-grown but still spoiled kids, the servant of two bossy felines, and the wife of a truly patient husband.
Her writing muse is terribly temperamental, so to keep him close by and in check, she had him inked on her left calf. The gorgeous, long-haired, mostly naked, kneeling angel that resulted is truly a work of art, although he’s still a handful and hopelessly uncontrollable. She writes on his schedule and inspiration.
K-lee tends to fall easily into obsessions. When something grabs her attention, she jumps into it headfirst with complete abandon. Actors, musicians, superheroes, fictional characters, and brainwashed assassins all hold spots on her cannot-get-enough list. She once followed Thirty Seconds to Mars around the United States and Canada and saw them perform fourteen times that year. Obsession sometimes leads to ideas for her kneeling angel to turn into stories.
Although an introvert in person, she’s extroverted online and has met many wonderful friends there, sometimes with the added fun of meeting them in person at gay romance conferences. She’s grateful for all the people in her life who accept her as she is and support her through her ups and downs as mom, wife, and joyfully obsessed writer.

Good luck with the release. You’re ‘In the Moment’ and ‘Love and Patience’ are two of my favorite books!
Thank you very much. Did you know that In the Moment was rewritten for my Welcome to Loveland series. It’s now called Finding Forever in Loveland. I’m planning on republishing Love & Patience into a longer story too. Hugs, K-lee
Thank you for the character interview.
